Cue the sting of The Hammer and Nigel Show. My name is Nigel Jason Hammer over there with a very special guest that's been on fire lately on the hotline.
Jason Hammer (0:13)
He's a big, hairy American winning machine, and he's a degenerate. My man has done some living, but we don't bring him on this show to raise your kids. We bring him on here to make you some money, and that's what he's been doing. Our guy, David Stephanoff, my man, how are you?
David Stephanoff (0:31)
Thank you, Hammer. Hello, Nigel, for having chowed to all the degenerates out there. We've been hot. People don't care what you look like, what you sound like, as long as you put some money in their pocket.
Jason Hammer (0:41)
That's it, man. So for those who don't know, David is a professional sports bettor. He owns his own company, Follow Never Fade. You can follow them on social media. You can become a client of David's. He provides VIP services. But every Friday, we bring him on this show, and he and I kind of go head to head on some picks. And I got to be honest, the last three weeks, this little brain trust here between you and I, David, a combined nine and three.
Now, all three losses have been me because you're six and oh, the last three weeks you've been on with us.
David Stephanoff (1:20)
Yeah, but let's not talk about the first week when we were absolutely awful. But you know what people talk about Hammer? They don't care what we did last week. They don't care what we did yesterday. They will know what we can make some money for them today. That's what people care about. But let's stay hot for the people, though, regardless.
Jason Hammer (1:33)
All right, let's do it. So each week, David and I will pick something with the Colts game, and then we can pick any other game that we want.
David Stephanoff (1:41)
All right.
Jason Hammer (1:41)
So, David, what do you see with this Colts game? Colts are at Steelers. And depending on where you look, Steelers are a two and a half or a three point favorite.
David Stephanoff (1:53)
I like this game here. Like you said, a key number there. This game is a two and a half and three.
For the people out there that don't know sports gambling very well, this is a key number here. If you like the Colts here, I think you take the three. If you like the Pittsburgh Steelers here, you play the two and a half. I think this goes back. This is almost a duplicate of last Sunday's game with Washington. Neither teams have a lot of weapons, a lot of injuries. Both quarterbacks are old dinosaurs and are not very mobile. Let's just get that out of the way. If you watched Aaron Rodgers last week, he was absolutely atrocious.
Hammer, I'm liking the Colts here. I think they got a little momentum going here. I mean, they got the best running backs in football, don't get me wrong. I just think this is a field goal game. I'm liking the Colts plus the three points here. But like I said, a lot of people, a lot of different sportsbooks have this line at two and a half, three. You might shop around whatever line you want to get. But three is a key number here because it could be a field goal game, I'm thinking. But I like the Colts plus the three points, Sunday Hammer.
Jason Hammer (2:54)
All right. So I'm going to go in a different direction, not because I got three games to make up to you, but I like the Steelers getting more rest. Now, the last time we saw the Steelers was on a Thursday night and they lost to the Browns, which is not ideal if you're a Steelers fan. But that also means they've had Friday and Saturday and Sunday, those extra days to get their bodies right, to study up on the Colts, to watch the Colts.
Nigel (3:20)
The Colts are getting back from London.
Jason Hammer (3:22)
And the Colts are getting back from London. That's a long trip. So I like the Steelers with more rest. You go back to last year, four times the Steelers played at home coming off of a loss. They were 4-0 against the spread. So I see 2.5 at Bent Rivers. I'm going to take the Steelers minus 2.5, David.
David Stephanoff (3:44)
I'm not mad at you. We're ahead ahead here. This is a toss up game. Like I said, both teams are kind of identical.
