It's pretty cramped. It's pretty cramped over here, so we do what we can. How was your weekend?

Spent a lot of time with Ms. Mo, but I have to admit, I have been totally in it with this Lindsay Clancy case, and I definitely want to talk about it because I spent almost like an hour writing down my notes, and I have a lot of thoughts, and I know you're like lightly keeping up with it. I don't know if you've dug in a little bit deeper since we talked about it on Saturday, but before we get into all that, Sophie, how was your weekend? What did you do?

It was very chill. I was feeling a little bit under the weather, so was Henry. So I watched a lot of movies. I watched all three Austin Powers movies, which classics. I can quote, I realized while watching them that it's not normal that I can quote every single line, because I grew up watching them, and I was talking to my parents, I was like, why was I watching Austin Powers when I was three? That's not normal.
So all three Austin Powers, we watched 21 Jump Street and 22 Jump Street. Oh, what? I love it. So good. Just the funniest movie is I was just in the mood to giggle. And then also-

You played saxophone at my sister's wedding. Yeah, and I her too.

I keep saying, Cynthia. We died for our sins, the-a.
And then also started- actually, it started. I'm almost done with Sterling Point on Amazon Prime, which is so good. You guys, I highly recommend. I keep calling it Widows Bay for tweens. So highly recommend. I'm- yeah, I basically was just on my ass all weekend. It was also like 90 degrees in the city. So I was like, I'm not in the mood to be outside.

Yeah, we're experiencing a heat wave as well over here. It's not comfortable. My AC has been on full blast all weekend.
Okay, can we just get into it? Because I need to talk about the Lindsay Clancy thing. In fact, I was just watching her trial live on ABC7, and they were cross-examining her physician, her psychiatrist.

Wait, do you want to just give background on this case? Of course. Oh, yeah, yeah.

**Christy Noel** (2:39)
Yeah, of course. Okay. So this is obviously a huge trigger warning. And if you guys aren't familiar, I'm going to give you guys the background on the case. The case has been ongoing or the trial has been ongoing for the last two weeks. This triple homicide of a woman against her three small children happened in January 2023 And honestly, no one had really heard about the case until very recently because it's now undergoing trial. And I think the TLDR is that the case isn't about this mother, this woman, Lindsay Clancy, and whether or not she did or did not murder her children. The defense is saying that she did murder her children. Rather, the case is whether she should be held criminally responsible for the murder of her three kids.
And I think as the case and the trial goes on week after week, it seems as if the public is realizing and Lindsay Clancy is realizing in real time, did her husband have a lot more to do with this than we anticipated initially? And you have to remember that if you guys aren't following the case, after she had murdered her three children, they found her in the snow and she sustained a great deal of injuries. She's now paralyzed from the waist down due to her injuries and we're going to get into that. But I think that you have to keep in mind that she's being told what happened. Because I think the stress on her body, physically and mentally, she has no recollection of what happened that night. So I think now it's a little amazing that we're all learning in real time with her.
Nothing about her husband's story actually adds up. But before we get into it, Sophie, what do you know with anything? Like are you keeping up? Not too much? You know the top lines?
