You see the granddad that got charged and thrown eight feet in the air by a bison at Yellowstone? Over the weekend, Hammer?

I've seen it 500 times. I can't stop watching it. Is that bad?

**Hammer** (0:37)
No, the guy's OK. I think he broke his leg. I mean, it was a grandpa. It happened in front of his grandkids or kid.

**SPEAKER_4** (0:45)
I mean, he got thrown up in the air. Eight feet.

**Hammer** (0:50)
And the way he landed, like he got thrown up in the air, he flipped and the way he landed wasn't on his neck or his head.

**SPEAKER_4** (0:59)
Right.

**Hammer** (0:59)
If he would have landed a little bit differently, he'd be dead by now. He'd be dead anyway, getting charged and thrown eight feet into the air by the bison.

**SPEAKER_4** (1:10)
The way he was thrown in the air looked like something from like cartoons where, you know, somebody gets shot out of a cannon or something.

**Hammer** (1:18)
It looked like Forrest Gump jumping over that fence when he was running away from the kids that were throwing rocks at him. Except except he was upside down.

**SPEAKER_4** (1:29)
Yes, like I was thinking more like goofy, like the only thing I was missing was hearing that goofy from Disney. Yell like that was amazing.

**Hammer** (1:41)
Now, what do they tell you to do when you see something like that? Because like they like before this happened, you see all this play out.

**SPEAKER_4** (1:49)
Yes, like you see, and I've been to Yellowstone and I've seen these big, scary sons of you know what's they're everywhere.

**Hammer** (1:57)
Have you been that close to him, like in proximity to where like you're watching this?

**SPEAKER_4** (2:01)
I'm going to say yes, because this guy, it wasn't like he was right up on him. He was a pretty decent distance away. But I guess it's mating season for the bull bison. And they try to do whatever it is to show testosterone and put out the vibe. So this dude chased around a grandpa. It will take the final closing scene of a Benny Hill episode.
And then boom, like flips him up in the air and he lands.

Everyone is a bison.

As soon as the bison stood up, the grandfather is like, no, we're out of here. For whatever reason, the bison who is still like 50 to 100 feet away, just charged, the grandfather eventually got hooked, got tossed into the air. They were doing the right thing. They just, just bad luck.
When he was down on the ground, after things were settling down a little bit, I said, hey, you know, as a former US Army paratrooper, I give that landing like a 9.5 out of 10 And he's like, well, if you just caught me five years ago, I could have done better. So he was jovial trying to make light of his pain, but he was obviously in a lot of pain.

**Hammer** (3:15)
And no, you were jovial in trying to make light of his pain. If that would have been me, I would have been shut the F up a hole.

**SPEAKER_4** (3:21)
Call the ambulance. I just got gored by a bison. I was talking about this with somebody over the weekend.
They're everywhere up there. Like the first day you go to Wyoming or Montana, you'll see bison and you're going to be like, oh, wow, that's amazing. I've never seen one. They're so big. But day three or four, you've seen so many of them. It's like us seeing cows out here now.

**Hammer** (3:50)
Really?

**SPEAKER_4** (3:50)
Oh, more bison. Oh, they're crossing the road now. Great. I mean, like you, the newness of it wears out because they're everywhere.

**Hammer** (3:57)
They could be some big mean bastards, though. And they're tasty.

**SPEAKER_4** (4:02)
They are tasty.

Just to let you know, Ted's Montana Grill.

We stayed in Jackson Hole and we had a bison chili and bison pizza.

Oh, you had to be a chili.

It was so good. It was amazing.

That's what this grandpa should do. Get revenge. Like there needs to be a reality show where he goes out and he hunts and he kills that specific buffalo and they make the world's best chili out of them.
