Whose voice has been guiding our decisions lately? When others seek our advice, are we pointing them toward what we want, or toward what Jesus teaches?

Thank you. Jesus fully trained will be like his teacher. Why do you see the speck of chaff that is in your brother's eye, but don't consider the bean that is in your own eye? Or how can you tell your brother? Brother, let me remove the speck of chaff that is in your eye. When you yourself don't see the beam that is in your own eye.
You hypocrite. First, remove the beam from your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck of chaff that is in your brother's eye.

The Gospel of the Lord.
Jesus told his disciples a parable. Can a blind person guide a blind person? Will not both fall into a pit?
Jesus gives us an image that is easy to understand.
If neither person can see where they are going, both are in danger of falling. We often look to other people for direction. We listen to friends, family, colleagues, people we admire, and countless voices online. Their advice can be helpful, but Jesus reminds us that not every voice knows the right way forward. The same applies when others look to us. We may be quick to give advice because we have experience or because we think we understand what someone should do. Yet, we can be just as lost as the person asking us for help. Good intentions do not always mean good direction. Before we tell someone where to go, we should ask ourselves who is guiding us.
Jesus does not ask us to have every answer. He asks us to follow. Him. When His words shape our choices, we become less dependent on our own assumptions and more aware of where. He is leading. Sometimes, the wisest thing we can say is, we don't know. Then we can turn to Christ instead of pretending that we can see the whole road ahead. Whose voice has been guiding our decisions lately? When others seek our advice, are we pointing them toward what we want or toward what Jesus teaches? Lord Jesus, help us to see where. You are leading us. Keep us from following voices that draw us away from. You and give us wisdom when others turn to us for guidance. May our words and choices always lead us closer to. You. Amen.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
