Let's go. When people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for my sake, rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

The Gospel of the Lord.
When Jesus saw the crowds, he went up the mountain, and after he had sat down, his disciples came to him. He began to teach them, saying, Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. When Jesus spoke the Beatitudes, he did not begin with success, power or recognition. He began with those who know they need God. To be poor in spirit is not about lacking worth. It is about recognizing that we cannot go through life on our own. There are moments when we run out of answers, strength or control.
Sometimes we try so hard to hold everything together that we forget to leave space for God to lead us. Jesus reminds us that the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who come before Him honestly, not pretending, not hiding behind pride, just bringing our real selves to Him. Many people see dependence as a weakness. Yet faith begins when we stop acting like we have everything figured out. A heart that stays open to God will always have room to grow. Even in difficult seasons, there is comfort in knowing we do not walk alone. God is near to those who seek Him sincerely.
What is one area of your life where you need to stop relying only on yourself and start trusting God more deeply? Lord, teach me to come before You with honesty and humility. Help me to rely on You instead of my own pride or strength. Give me a heart that remains open to Your guidance each day. Amen.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day, He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty.
From there, He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
