Don't give that which is holy to the dogs, neither throw your perils before the pigs, lest perhaps they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
Therefore, whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them, for this is the law and the prophets. Enter in by the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in by it. How narrow is the gate and restricted is the way that leads to life. Few are those who find it.

**SPEAKER_2** (1:39)
The Gospel of the Lord Jesus said to his disciples, Do not give what is holy to dogs, or throw your pearls before swine. Lest they trample them under foot, and turn and tear you to pieces. Jesus' words may sound harsh at first, but they point to an important truth. Not everyone is ready to receive what is precious.
The holy and the pearls can represent many things. Our faith, our values, our time, our kindness, and even the wisdom God has given us. There are moments when we sincerely try to help someone, offer good advice, or share something meaningful, only to have it dismissed, mocked, or ignored.
Jesus is not telling us to stop loving people. He is teaching us to be discerning. There is a difference between generosity and carelessness.
We can continue to love others while recognizing that some hearts are not open to what we are offering at a particular moment. Many of us have experienced the frustration of pouring energy into someone who has no desire to listen. We keep explaining, persuading, and trying harder, only to end up hurt and discouraged. Sometimes, the wiser choice is to step back and trust the situation to God and wait for the right time.
Not every seed grows the moment it is planted. Some people need time before they are ready to receive what we are trying to share. God calls us to be generous, but He also calls us to be wise. The treasures He places in our hearts deserve to be handled with care. Is there an area of my life where I keep giving my time, energy or wisdom to someone who is not ready to receive it? How might God be inviting me to practice greater wisdom and discernment? Lord Jesus, thank You for the gifts, wisdom and faith You have entrusted to me. Help me to share them with love and humility, but also with good judgment. Give me the wisdom to know when to speak and when to step back. Teach me to trust You with the hearts I cannot change and to remain faithful to the work You have given me. Amen.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell.
The third day, he arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty. From there, he shall come to judge the living and the dead.
