Don't judge, so that you won't be judged. For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged. And with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you.
Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but don't consider the beam that is in your own eye? Or how will you tell your brother, let me remove the speck from your eye, and behold, the beam is in your own eye? You hypocrite! First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother's eye.

The Gospel of the Lord.
Why do you notice the splinter in your brother's eye, but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, let me remove that splinter from your eye, while the wooden beam is in your eye? You hypocrite, remove the wooden beam from your eye first, then you will see clearly to remove the splinter from your brother's eye.
It is often easier to see the faults of others than to recognize our own. We notice someone's impatience, selfishness, or mistakes, yet we may overlook similar weaknesses within ourselves. Jesus uses a striking image of a splinter and a wooden beam to remind us that self-examination must come before correction. His words are not telling us to ignore wrongdoing. Instead, he is teaching us humility. Before we point out someone else's shortcomings, we should first ask God to reveal what needs changing in our own lives.
Many conflicts grow because people spend more time proving they are right than seeking the truth about themselves. Relationships improve when we become less focused on winning arguments and more willing to admit our own faults. A sincere apology often heals more than a hundred criticisms. When we honestly acknowledge our weaknesses, we become more patient and compassionate toward others. We stop looking down on people and begin walking beside them. Only then can we truly help them with love rather than judgment. The path Jesus points to is not perfection. It is humility. It is the willingness to let God shape our hearts every day.
Is there a fault in someone else that frequently irritates me? Could there be a similar weakness in my own life that God is inviting me to recognize and work on first? Lord Jesus, help me to see myself honestly and humbly. Show me the areas of my life that need your healing and guidance. Remove pride from my heart and teach me to treat others with patience, understanding and love. May I seek my own conversion before judging others. Amen.

The third day, He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty. From there, He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
