Forget Me Not

June 18, 2026

What takes up most of my thoughts and energy lately? Am I investing more into temporary things, or into the things that truly last?
**SPEAKER_2** (0:53)
Thank you. Thank you.
Let's go. My eye is evil. Your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

**SPEAKER_3** (1:38)
The Gospel of the Lord. Jesus said to his disciples, Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and decay destroy, and thieves break in and steal. But store up treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor decay destroys, nor thieves break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be.
Jesus reminds us that not everything we chase in life will remain forever. Money can disappear. Possessions grow old. Recognition fades. Even the things we work so hard to protect can be lost unexpectedly. Yet many of us still spend most of our energy worrying about these temporary things. We measure success by what we own, how others see us, or how much security we can build around ourselves. But the treasures of heaven are different. Acts of kindness, faithfulness during difficult seasons, loving others sincerely, forgiving even when it hurts, spending time with God. These are the things that remain long after this life passes. Jesus is not saying that work, savings or responsibilities are wrong. He is asking us to examine what has taken first place in our hearts. What we value most will slowly guide our thoughts, decisions and priorities. A person may have very little, yet be rich in love, faith and compassion. Another may have everything outwardly, yet still feel empty inside.
The question is not how much we own, but what owns our hearts.
What takes up most of my thoughts and energy lately? Am I investing more into temporary things, or into the things that truly last?
Lord, help me not to place my heart only on things that fade away. Teach me to value what matters to You. Help me to grow in faith, love, kindness and trust each day. May my life reflect treasures that will last beyond this world. Amen.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

**SPEAKER_1** (5:24)
Amen.

**SPEAKER_4** (5:25)
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day, He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty.
From there, He shall come to judge the living and the dead.

**SPEAKER_1** (5:57)
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

**SPEAKER_4** (6:07)
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

**SPEAKER_1** (6:16)
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

**SPEAKER_4** (6:29)
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

**SPEAKER_1** (6:38)
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

**SPEAKER_4** (6:45)

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

**SPEAKER_1** (7:09)
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of our death. Amen. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

**SPEAKER_5** (7:24)
Oh, my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thine mercy. Amen.

**SPEAKER_6** (7:34)
The first, Sourful Mystery, the agony in the garden.

**SPEAKER_1** (7:38)
I desire true repentance for my sins. Think of our Lord Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane suffering a bitter agony for our sins.

**SPEAKER_4** (7:51)
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
