June 10, 2026, Wednesday of the 10th week in Ordinary Time. A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew.

Don't think that I came to destroy the law or the prophets. I didn't come to destroy, but to fulfill.
Thank you. Until heaven and earth pass away, not even one smallest letter or one tiny pen stroke shall in any way pass away from the law, until all things are accomplished. Whoever, therefore, shall break one of these least commandments and teach others to do so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever shall do and teach them, shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
**SPEAKER_2** (1:34)
The Gospel of the Lord Jesus said to his disciples, Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish, but to fulfill. Amen, I say to you. Until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place. When Jesus spoke about fulfilling the law, he was not speaking about rules alone. He was showing the people that God's commands were never meant to become empty routines. They were meant to lead hearts back to him. Many people during Jesus' time followed the law outwardly, but missed its deeper meaning. Jesus healed on the Sabbath, forgave sinners, ate with tax collectors, and showed compassion to those rejected by society. Some saw this as breaking tradition. But Jesus was revealing what the law had always pointed toward from the beginning. Love of God and love of neighbor. We can fall into the same struggle today. Sometimes, we focus so much on appearances, habits or obligations that we forget the condition of our hearts. We may attend church, say prayers or do good things, yet still hold onto anger, pride or unforgiveness inside. Jesus did not come to remove truth. He came to help us live it fully. Following Christ is not about checking boxes. It is about allowing His teachings to shape the way we speak, forgive, help others and respond when life becomes difficult.
The Gospel becomes real when it changes how we live each day.
Are there areas in your life where you follow the motions of faith, but struggle to leave out its deeper meaning through love, patience and mercy?
Lord Jesus, thank You for showing us the true heart of God's Word. Teach us not only to know what is right, but to live it with sincerity and love.
Help us follow You not through habit alone, but with hearts willing to be changed each day. Amen.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.
**SPEAKER_4** (5:15)
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell.
The third day, He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty. From there, he shall come to judge the living and the dead.
**SPEAKER_1** (5:47)
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
**SPEAKER_4** (5:58)
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, and thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
**SPEAKER_1** (6:06)
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
**SPEAKER_4** (6:19)
