Forget Me Not

July 6, 2026

Is there an area of your life where fear, hurt, or uncertainty has kept you silent? What might Jesus be inviting you to bring before Him today?
**SPEAKER_2** (0:52)
Thank you.
Jesus cast out, the mute man spoke. The multitudes marveled, saying, Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel. But the Pharisees said, By the prince of the demons, he casts out demons.
Jesus went about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people. But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed and scattered, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, The harvest indeed is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore that the Lord of the harvest will send out laborers into his harvest.

The Gospel of the Lord A demoniac, who could not speak, was brought to Jesus, and when the demon was driven out, the mute man spoke. The crowds were amazed and said, Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel. There is something powerful about this short Gospel passage. A man who could not speak was brought to Jesus. He could not help himself. Others carried him to the one who could. After Jesus drove the demon, the man spoke. Many of us may not be physically unable to speak, yet there are times when fear, shame, disappointment, or past wounds keep us silent. We hold back words that need to be said. We avoid conversations that matter. We hide parts of ourselves because we are afraid of how others might respond. Jesus came to restore what has been lost. He gives strength where there is weakness and freedom where there has been bondage.
Sometimes his work in our lives is not dramatic or immediate, but over time, we find ourselves speaking with honesty, offering forgiveness, expressing gratitude, or sharing our faith in ways we could not before.
The crowds were amazed because they witnessed something new. Christ still does that today. He continues to transform lives in ways that remind us that His power is greater than the things that hold us back. Is there an area of your life where fear, hurt, or uncertainty has kept you silent? What might Jesus be inviting you to bring before Him today?
Lord Jesus, you know the struggles that are hidden within me. Where I have become fearful, discouraged, or unable to express what is in my heart, bring your healing.
Help me to trust You with the parts of my life that need restoration. Give me the courage to speak truth, offer kindness and follow You faithfully each day. Amen.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

**SPEAKER_1** (5:18)
Amen.

**SPEAKER_4** (5:19)
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell.
The third day, he arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty. From there, he shall come to judge the living and the dead.

**SPEAKER_1** (5:50)
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

**SPEAKER_4** (6:01)
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, and thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

**SPEAKER_1** (6:09)
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

**SPEAKER_4** (6:23)
