And brought them up into a high mountain by themselves. He was changed before them. His face shone like the sun, and his garments became as white as the light. Behold, Moses and Elijah appear to them, talking with him. Peter answered and said to Jesus, Lord.
One for us to be here, if you want. Let's make three tints here. One for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah. While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them. Behold, a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased.
Listen to him.
When the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were very afraid. Jesus came and touched them and said, Get up and don't be afraid. Lifting up their eyes, they saw no one except Jesus alone. As they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, Don't tell anyone what you saw until the son of man has risen from the dead.

The Gospel of the Lord Jesus took Peter, James and his brother John, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. And he was transfigured before them, his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became white as light. And, behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, conversing with him. Peter, James and John followed Jesus up the mountain without knowing what they were about to witness. There, they saw his glory revealed in a way they had never experienced before. The one they had walked with every day was also the Son of God, shining with heavenly splendour. This moment did not remove the challenges that would soon come. Jesus would still walk toward the cross, and the disciples would still face fear and uncertainty. Yet, this encounter gave them something to hold on to.
They had seen. His glory with their own eyes.
There are times when God allows us to experience. His presence in a special way. It may come during prayer, while reading scripture, through worship, or in an unexpected moment that reminds us. He is near. These moments are gifts that help us trust. Him when life becomes difficult. We may not stand on the same mountain as Peter, James and John, but we are still invited to draw near to Jesus. The more we know. Him, the more we begin to see. His goodness, His faithfulness, and. His glory in our daily lives.
What has God shown you about. Himself that can strengthen your faith during the challenges you are facing today? Lord Jesus, thank. You for revealing. Your glory to. Your disciples and reminding us that. You are truly the Son of God. Help us to keep our eyes on. You, especially when life becomes difficult. Draw us closer to. You each day so that our faith will continue to grow. Amen.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
