We were dancing to this summer's anthem by Young MIA., right? Is that a name?

**Azar Farideh** (0:10)
Yeah, Miami.

**Paul Pierce** (0:11)
Where are my scabbing hands?
Everybody was like, this to that! There we go! There we go! We was asking for it, right? And there he is. Now, we want to criticize and ridicule him.
This is the song of the summer, is it not? Here he is, ladies and gentlemen!

**Azar Farideh** (0:36)
Ta-da!
Paul Pierce, The Truth After Dark. Do you think that men or women are more toxic? Hello, beautiful people. Welcome to another episode of The Truth After Dark. I'm your host, Azar Farideh.

**Paul Pierce** (1:24)
Paul Pierce, as your attention.

**Azar Farideh** (1:28)
You are crazy.
Okay, so there's a lot that's been going on in the media. I'm excited to talk about the first thing that's been going viral everywhere is about the man. His name is Daejon Love, and he pretended to be a player for the San Francisco 49ers. And he basically conned 26 women into giving him $1.3 million total.
He has been arrested by the federal authorities, which we believe he was arrested for wire fraud. And what he would do is he would basically come up with these different scenarios to women. So first he would sell them the lifestyle of like, I play for the 49ers and I'm this and I'm that. And basically he's selling them this lifestyle that he lives. So for them, they feel secure to give somebody money because they feel like, oh, he got money. So like, I can give him money. He's going to give it back to me type of thing. So basically 20, how many women was it? 26 women fell for the okie doke, which is blowing my mind. Because I wish somebody would. But the question is, is do you blame him or do you blame the girls that believe him without doing the research?

**Paul Pierce** (2:47)
All right. This is what I want to say.
We were dancing to this summer's anthem by Young MIA., right?

**Azar Farideh** (3:01)
Is that a name? Young Miami.

**Paul Pierce** (3:03)
Where are my scabbing hands? Everybody was like, this to that.
There we go. There we go. We was asking for it, right? And there he is. And now we want to criticize and ridicule him.
We were, this is the song of the summer, is it not? Here he is, ladies and gentlemen. Ta-da!
Now everybody is bashing him. I mean, I'm not promoting, scamming no one. That's wrong in every way. But when we glorify it in our songs that we make the top summer anthem, and then we see it, and then now he's getting bashed, I'm like, well, it's a double-edged sword. So, you know, I don't, you know, I mean, illegal shit is illegal shit. You should go to jail. You shouldn't be fraud and all that shit. Cross the line, bro. You should have had more game, my boy. You should have just asked for the money straight up until instead of trying to come up with business ventures and all this other shit, and trying to say it was for this and that, just saying, hey, can I get this? If you had have just kept it simple and was really on your pimping, you wouldn't have got arrested for it. But you did it illegal, you got what you deserve, my boy.

**Azar Farideh** (4:22)
Yeah, I get what you're saying. I also think that when it comes to the music thing, I feel like a lot of people sing songs that they don't necessarily stand on.

**Paul Pierce** (4:35)
You had a video, you was in the car.

**Azar Farideh** (4:38)
Yeah, okay. Yeah, but this is the thing, it's like I also dance to like, you know, bitches ain't shit but hoes and tricks. And I don't believe that. Like I dance to, people dance to a lot of stuff. There's married, there's people who's in a drug dealer music and go to their nine to five job.

**Paul Pierce** (4:56)
They ain't selling drugs. That young MIA song got rhythm, it got pop. When it come on, I'm even spinning that shit.

**Azar Farideh** (5:03)
Yeah.

**Paul Pierce** (5:04)
I ain't go, I'm not mad at it. I'm not mad at it.

**Azar Farideh** (5:07)
And never in my life have I been a scammer or dealt with a scammer, but at the end of the day, it's a good song.

**Paul Pierce** (5:13)
It is. And it has a good vibe to it.

**Azar Farideh** (5:16)
And when we live in this generation where music right now is just not that great, you listen to the same songs on repeat or you going back and you hear a good vibe, cool.
