D4vd is not the only person facing legal consequences in the Celeste Rivas Hernandez case. The family's wrongful death lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, names David Anthony Burke's mother Colleen Burke, his management team, and his business entities as defendants.

Let's go over to another case. David, the Enablers and the Civil Discovery that is now coming to light. The investigation into 21-year-old indie pop star David, D4vd, has shifted dramatically with newly filed wrongful death lawsuits from Celeste Rivas Hernandez family, moving past the initial shock and zeroing in on what the Civil Discovery reveals, which is a lot. Civil Discovery is going to tell us a lot about this case before we get to the criminal one, because Civil is going to be a little more out in the open. It's probably going to tell us a lot of what the federal government actually has on David ahead of time, depending on how much this stuff is aired out into the open, just like how we're learning about a lot in the cruise ship case.
Civil lawsuit claims his living bodyguard was personally driving a 13-year-old runaway back and forth to Burke's Hollywood Hills home. What kind of corporate or personal rationalization happens inside an entourage where people just accept that that is part of the job? What do you think's going on in the mind of that bodyguard right now, Robin? He's not charged with anything, but when you're looking back going, oh yeah, I've been carting a 13-year-old back and forth with this young adult, and now she's dead, it makes you think a little bit differently about your actions.
Robin Dreeke (2:03)
Probably thinking he can wrap himself in willful ignorance and that that's the confidentiality of the job, neither of which are actually defendable in court. So he's screwed. I just, you know, because that's what people in this circle typically do. They use a lot of willful ignorance, that they turn their head the other way because they don't want to turn away from the profitable paycheck and the inside access and the easy living condition. And the guy's living inside the house. And so you rationalize away the important things that you're seeing and you can, because again, when you give yourself this confirmation by us all, David must not be that bad of a guy. And so you start cherry picking when he's a good guy, you're ignoring all the other things that you're seeing, like the underage aspect of it. And probably a lot of other creepy things going on because he's that close and that trusted in that position, close enough and trusted in that position that I should be living in his house, traveling with him.
Nope, I think you're having a hard day.
Tony Brueski (2:57)
Yeah, I mean, it is one of those things where, and we don't know, he's not been charged with anything, and it's hard to know exactly what he knew and when. And if you're going to go on the honor system and ask them, of course they're not going to know what was going on when this was going on because that would look really bad. But some people really do drink the damn Kool-Aid. Some people really, they only know as much as they need to know. And they understand that, especially folks who work with celebrities. Some know, I only need to know what I need to know so I can collect my paycheck and not be on the end of a criminal lawsuit at some point in time for having knowledge of things that I didn't need to have knowledge of. So in theory, and I don't know, this is just pure conjecture and he could have been saying that she's 18
That could have been the story that was really tied to several people in that circle, I believe.
I think some people knew, I don't think others knew. I think we may be surprised to know and who didn't know the age of what was going on. That's one crime is the age thing.
The other is her disappearance and subsequent death. And I do wonder how many people had any sort of knowledge there or had suspicions. Knowledge and suspicions are two different things. And that's what I think, most of these people are never going to be tried for anything criminally. They're just going to have to live with it. But that's the key line, knowledge and suspicion. And what do you do with either of those once they're in your lap?
Robin Dreeke (4:31)
If you're an ethical and moral human being, when you saw a wobble and the wobble was all of a sudden, Celeste is no longer showing up because she, I mean, just look at this.
Tony Brueski (4:40)
They broke up.
Robin Dreeke (4:42)
Yeah, but they've broken up before. So everything that they're seeing was just a huge change in behavior because they've broken up before and they back forth, back forth, whatever, whatever is going on since she was 13 years old until now.
