David Faber and Jim Cramer began the show by looking at the busy week ahead for Cramer out on the west coast for Nvidia’s big GTC event. The desk then turned to the market volatility, with the S&P and Nasdaq both posting their 4th straight week of losses.

Market Moving Insight and Analysis join Jim Cramer, David Faber and me, Carl Quintanilla on the opening bell hour of CNBC Squawk on the Street. Good Monday morning.
David Faber (0:56)
Welcome to Squawk on the Street. I'm David Faber right here at Post 9 of the New York Stock Exchange. Jim Cramer, also a bit earlier where he is. He's at One Market in San Francisco. Nvidia, of course, set to kick off its GTC conference. That is just hours from now. That's why Jim is out there. Carl has the morning off. Let's give you a quick look at futures as we get ready, of course, to open half hour from now. We've reversed, of course. We were down at retail sales number. May have improved things or seems to have approved things. Let's start with our roadmap this morning. It does begin with the markets, of course, and growth fears that continue to weigh on Wall Street. While Treasury Secretary Bessent shrugs off recent stock market declines. Plus, we are watching for retail warning signs. Now, that latest data showed shoppers are still spending despite slowdown concerns and inflation headwinds.
And Nvidia shares are up in the pre-market, this ahead of the company's annual developers conference, and CEO Jensen Wong's keynote tomorrow. All right. Let's get to Mr. Cramer, who basically doesn't sleep at all when he does these West Coast trips. Got a big week ahead, Jim. I'm sorry we're not together to say hello after obviously, I was in Singapore last week. What do you got ahead for us this week?
Jim Cramer (2:13)
Well, first, happy St. Patrick's Day. Glad that you remembered your green tie. Very important. Look, this is a celebration week. It's Nvidia week. The conference that they're having has often been a reset. I'd say an anchor reset of what people should be looking for. We've really just been talking about China for a very long time. Let's talk about what Nvidia has got and whether China is actually positive, because I think that it's been viewed as negative ever since Deep Seek Monday, whatever. David, what's really going on out here, I think, is that everybody wants to talk about AI, whether it be Papa John's who I'm talking to, whether it be Block, whether it be Snowflake. I've got Arm Holdings, I've got Dell, I've got Cisco. But then we get to Home Depot. I hope they actually want to talk about the planning season. Then we have Wynn, which I hope they want to talk about China and gambling. So it's a full week trying to get the temperature of the place and what's really going on out here.
I've got to tell you David, you know I always feel you have to get out of New York to find out what people are talking about. And I can't wait to talk to these people because I don't even know what they're going to say.
David Faber (3:15)
Yeah, I know. And listen, you're going to get a lot of important insights, I think, in terms of AI. My guess is you're going to get an even better sense, Jim, as to how quickly the technology continues to advance and how there is no let up in terms of potential spend. That would be my guess. Obviously, you're also going to have an important guest as well. I believe on Wednesday, that would be Mr. Wang himself, correct?
Jim Cramer (3:40)
Yeah. Look, I think that he... I want to go to the old days when he's visionary and not the one who just plays defense against whatever administration is talking about China and the rivalry with China. I mean, I think those are all inside baseball. David, those are spring training. We got to go back to the World Series of Thought that I always thought Jensen played at. And what I look forward to is actually talking to you about what he thinks in the next 20 years, because he views things in a 20 year time frame. Most of us view things about, I don't know, between here and the next commercial.
