Jim Cramer (0:49)

Jim Cramer here to share with you a sample of my take on the market from today's CNBC Investing Club morning meeting. Very confusing day. We had a late day sell off last night, that you know I felt was related to some sort of, not manipulation, but a program. But today, we are having the slow growth buys. And what does that mean? Take a look at a Pepsi, that starts going up in this environment. Bristol Myers, which we own, starts going up. There's ongoing concerns about a slowdown in AI, and that is causing the entire data center complex to go down and taking down with it the Magnificent Seven.

Jeff Marks (1:26)

Yeah, really a slowdown across the economy. We've had some weak retail sales numbers, some concerning consumer sentiment numbers. And then today, right at 10 a.m., which is when the selloff really started to accelerate, you had a consumer confidence weaker than expected as well. That's the conference board. So, that's kind of what's playing out here.

Jim Cramer (1:48)

This is what I call a clearing event, is what NVIDIA is going to do. These stocks could go down until NVIDIA reports either way, because what people are doing to try to position themselves away from Mag-7, which they've now decided is too linked to the possibility of data center.

Jeff Marks (2:04)

Yeah, it's Mag-7. It's a lot of these red hot tech stocks. We've talked about them before. Palantir, AppLovin. I would throw even CrowdStrike in that. Remember, we did take some off. I think it was 440s, again, at 400

Jim Cramer (2:20)

I'm tempted to buy that back at 300

Jeff Marks (2:21)

It's at 375

Jim Cramer (2:23)

Maybe we'll buy it back at 300?

Jeff Marks (2:24)

Yeah. They report next week.

Jim Cramer (2:27)

Can we just put up a chart of Apple for a second? Do we have Apple? This is really important. I don't know if you can get it, because it wasn't given ahead of time.

OK, so look at this. This is down the least. And the reason why that is is because they're a beneficiary of others doing data center. They don't spend a lot of money on data center. And the stock was actually up earlier. And against that, I would put a stock like Service now, which has barely had an up day since they reported a number that people felt wasn't a huge beat. So you're seeing this kind of like, if you can't do the number, you're just annihilated. And then if you actually do the number, but people are saying, I don't know, look at Netflix. I mean, tomorrow is a clearing event. We really have a big decline going on. People aren't talking about it.

Jeff Marks (3:12)

Tomorrow being NVIDIA report. So really it's Thursday session almost.

Jim Cramer (3:16)

Yes, Thursday session. Because if NVIDIA is bad, then you're going to have a whoosh down of these stocks. If NVIDIA is good, people are going to say, okay, let's make a stand.
