I'm Jim Cramer and you're about to hear a sample taken directly from today's CNBC Investing Club Morning Meeting. Look, everything could be pulled down because it's a little surprise to see so much down. I mean, you've got stocks that are, like, that we didn't think would be down, Whirlpool's down. We got Stanley Black and Decker down. But, you know, a lot of stocks that are just kind of all over the place versus a handful of techs that are doing very well. But maybe the market can stay buy educated. I don't know. I think this is one of the swing modes, maybe the drug stocks, which are very weak.
Jeff Marks (1:23)
Well, let's bring up the drug stocks today because a lot of them are lower. The biggest mover to the downside is Novo Nordisk. This comes after the company slashed its full year outlook. The company cited the use of compound GLP-1, slower than expected market expansion, and competition for Wigovie in the United States. You do have Lilly shares down in sympathy to the results. Some of this makes sense. I think maybe some concern about GLP-1s, though Lilly really hasn't really been a loser from that as much as Novo Nordisk. The slower than the market expansion is negative. Lilly is taking share from Novo, so I think that's clear. But we did trim the position today.
Jim Cramer (2:06)
First of all, where it is? Oh, it's just back to where it was last week.
Jeff Marks (2:08)
Yeah. Really, it's just we just want to make sure, you know, there's something, there really isn't a big slowdown happening in GLP-1s. We don't want to get caught with that from what we're hearing from Novo today.
Jim Cramer (2:21)
We just want Novo to start some sort of price war, which would be capable of anything.
Jeff Marks (2:24)
That's a good point too. Yeah, I mean, that's a really good point too, because that agreement with Novo and CVS to be the primary formulary, that came out the last time Lilly reported. That really crushed the stock, Eli Lilly. So, yes, concern about price.
