Jim Cramer here to share with you a sample of my take on the market from today's CNBC Investing Club morning meeting.
SPEAKER_3 (1:09)
Well, look, healthcare as a sector, call it the struggles of UNH, some concerns about pharma. Healthcare has been very disappointing this year.
Jim Cramer (1:18)
Yes, it has.
SPEAKER_3 (1:18)
Big surprise. I was a little bit more optimistic on healthcare. Coming into the year, it hasn't worked out. Even Eli Lilly, which had been doing so well, especially when we had the good pill data just the other week, has now come all the way back down.
Jim Cramer (1:33)
I'm really glad you mentioned Eli Lilly. I've got Dr. Eric Topol on tonight, who's an incredible, well-respected cardiologist, who's written some books. And he has come out with an unqualified endorsement of the GLP-1. He's on tonight, and I'm going to talk about it, for all sorts of things, far more than diabetes and weight. He even speculates, maybe everybody has to take it. So I think the people who are selling Eli Lilly are very misplaced about how much this drug is going to matter, particularly because it really leapfrogged well over Novo Nordis. So short. When I finished this book, and when you read these books, they typically, people come on your show, people don't read the book, I read every page. And this book is, in many ways, it's about how to live longer, how to stay young, GOP-1, probably the number one way.
SPEAKER_3 (2:23)
So you're interested in buying Lilly down here? Yes, very much so. Very much so.
Jim Cramer (2:26)
Because people are selling it, they don't know what it is. They're just saying it's another drug, they're saying the government's cracking down. What they don't realize is worldwide, it's just a pretty long story. Worldwide, people are going to recognize that this is a different sort of drug. It's a drug that saves, that puts years on your life. That's very different. It's what put years on your life. And people who don't have anything wrong, you know, if you have co-morbidity, you have to take it. Anything that's co-morbidity, any drug that raises your weight, you're going to take this. Very, very significant.
