Jim Cramer (1:04)

Hey, it's Cramer and this is my morning take on the market from today's CNBC Investing Club morning meeting. Okay, so here's what's happening. All right, yesterday we had what looked to be a bear market rally and then we found out, wait a second, J-PAL stays. It did seem a little bit contradictory versus what the president said before, but whatever's last carries. And then today, we got a little bit more, we got a little bit more maybe even of China being better. So you've got the PAL rally. And by the way, just so people know, it rallied ahead of PAL. So it's possible that people feel that maybe Peter Navarro, who's been anti-China, was in charge for a while. And then PAL is considered to be part of this progressively along with Besset.

There are really two camps. And the camp that says, look, the market matters, rates are lower, stability matters, is in ascendance, and that's why we're having a rally.

SPEAKER_3 (1:58)

Sure, they wouldn't take a lot of these worst-case scenarios off the table. On China, you did have the president say, last night, 145% tariffs won't stay this high. They'll come down substantially, but it won't be zero. A report out by The Journal this morning says the administration is considering slashing tariffs to between 50% to 65%.

Also considered a tiered approach, phasing in levies over time. Eamon Javers from CNBC also reporting that anything done won't be unilaterally, meaning China will also have to bring down their tariffs, too, as part of negotiations. But we're seeing a lot of these China-related stocks soar. Some of the biggest gainers in the portfolio.

Jim Cramer (2:38)

Very counterintuitive.

SPEAKER_3 (2:39)

Amazon, which actually has some China exposure just because of all the products that they bring in. But Meta as well, from an advertising perspective. Danahur again, after a good quarter yesterday. Dupont, another one. Dover also reports tomorrow, we did buy a little Dover shares yesterday, just noting the strong results from Danahur as a positive re-throw into Dover's biopharma business. That's about 6% of sales.

Jim Cramer (3:03)

You know that this is a true conglomerate. You know that the CEO is a deal maker. You know he's got some things he wants to do. He's upgrading his portfolio, okay? Upgrading all the time. And yet, when the stock went down, it became a data center play. It has a data center kicker. But this is a very inexpensive stock, and I'm very surprised that it's down 9 Now that could reflect the idea that some people think it's a recession, but look out, this man is a deal maker, and he's going to surprise you.
