Jim Cramer (0:47)

Jim Cramer here to share with you a sample of my take on the market from today's CNBC Investing Club morning meeting. I've always said Apple own it, don't trade it, and today is a verification of exactly what I say.

Jeff Marks (1:02)

Yeah, we're seeing more reports that the iPhone 17 selling incredibly well, better than last year's version. You heard it from Mike Sievert from T-Mobile. He said that, just getting exactly what he said, that this past weekend was up to double digits versus last year, Reuters, or excuse me, not Reuters, but another outlet reporting that Apple's telling suppliers to increase production of the 17 Dan Ives, Wedbush says new phones tracking well. There was one analyst, Jeffries, took a different take on it.

Jim Cramer (1:35)

Yeah, outlier. Yeah, I mean, he disagreed with what Apple's telling me, that they could be wrong and he could be right, but I find that fanciful. What Apple was saying is, look, these are full price. But because you get a discount from out the carriers, like Mike Siebert, the new CEO, congratulations at T-Mobile. And the value of the trade-in turned out to be more than we thought. So there's been no increase in price. And think about all the hand wringing that we experienced by the media about how it might be $200 or $300 more. You know, because it hasn't been, it looks like the people are buying the premium ones, which means that not only is the average selling price going higher, but we know that the sales themselves have been good. Now, what I don't want to hear, and I will change my mind, is the super cycle. We don't want to hear super cycle. But we do have to respect the fact that it looks like that Apple actually has these reform factors that people like.

Jeff Marks (2:32)

Why we don't like super cycle? Well, it never ends up really living to the hype. We saw that last year. People thought, myself included, that Apple Intelligence would be more meaningful for an upgrade cycle. So people threw out the super cycle term. You want to keep expectations down. But it is impressive to see the stock now positive for the year slightly. But there's been headwinds around tariffs in China, services, revenue growth, and valuation, always a sticking point of the bears.

Jim Cramer (3:02)

And by the way, the air isn't available in China yet. The air is the most impressive one.

Jeff Marks (3:07)

Yeah.

Jim Cramer (3:08)

By the way, I think that when I was down in Kentucky, it was very clear that each of the form factors has something different. Before you buy one, you've got to try all three. There are just many differences. That's a new thing. So don't just go there and say, I like the iPhone. Do a little research beforehand. They're very, very different.
