Jim Cramer (1:33)

I'm Jim Cramer and you're about to hear a sample taken directly from today's CNBC Investing Club morning meeting.

Jeff Marks (1:40)

We are bouncing back after a couple days of losses.

Jim Cramer (1:44)

And there's good news on many different fronts, like a Broadcom, where we have good news about an Apple time.

Jeff Marks (1:49)

Well, Broadcom, it's interesting. So yesterday, stock was absolutely hammered. Today, it's rallying off a story by the information who, we're not always, we always take some of their stories with the greatest song. How about that? But what they're saying today is that Apple is working with Broadcom on a potential AI chip. It is moving Broadcom as you can see.

Jim Cramer (2:09)

And we do have an upcoming earnings.

Jeff Marks (2:12)

Yeah, Thursday night. But this would be Apple's first server chip designed for AI. And if it succeeds, the story says it could be ready for mass production in 2026

Now, the story does mention that Apple, not a buyer of Nvidia chips, which appears to be the, you know, might be the case.

Jim Cramer (2:32)

But they never had. I mean, it's one of the few. There's a lot of alliances. You see a lot of companies talking to other companies. Chances were everywhere. But not for them.

Jeff Marks (2:42)

Yeah. But, you know, what the story does kind of underscores this movement into custom chips that Broadcom makes. Big customers right now are Alphabet, Meta, and, you know, maybe not as much as the Nvidia or the AMD, you know, in light of that downgrade the other day, was on concern about these custom chips.

Jim Cramer (3:01)

What do you think about the news out of China?

Jeff Marks (3:04)

Yeah, you know, I've read a story, as we were coming down, it was from Bloomberg, that, you know, maybe the Huawei's latest phone in China, it might have shown that some of their technology has stalled, that obviously would be good for Apple. You also have the new Apple Intelligence features, they're coming to the iPhone. The most highly anticipated one was this chat GBT integration with Siri. So the first round of features that came out for the iPhone 16, they were lackluster, not needle moving. How about that? I have the 16, it doesn't really do anything for me. But this new round is supposed to be more meaningful, and maybe that will be the beginning of what is supposed to drive a big cycle. But it hasn't really happened yet. But this could be it.

Jim Cramer (3:51)

Yeah, and what I was encouraged by, they sent me, they didn't send me on 16, but they sent me a very long list of what can happen with 18 and what you can do. And to me, as an iPhone 13, I said to myself, okay, let me go to work, let me go buy one.

Jeff Marks (4:06)

Yeah, sure, well, I had the 12, so it's a big upgrade for me. Some of the other features, people are really looking forward to this image generating app called Playground, also Wand, and then there's Visual Intelligence, that's another one. Now, there's going to be another update next year, a big up, a big overhaul of Siri, which a lot of people are looking forward to as well. So they do have these big upgrades coming down the pipeline.
