Jim Cramer here to share with you a sample of my take on the market from today's CNBC Investing Club morning meeting. I'm going to start today with Andy Jassy. We've got Andy Jassy from Amazon, and I think it's very important to know we're spending a lot of time with him. What I'm focused on right now, it's a free-ranging interview about the things that he's trying to do, whether it be keep costs down, how quickly you can get the same day. We've got obviously July 8 to 11, we've got Prime, but also what he's investing in, because I think that's what's most pertinent to us. Is he investing in data centers the way we heard Oracle today? Now, Oracle, by the way, put out a 8K about how they're spending more money on data centers, but it was nothing new, just to understand that. But what I'm focused on again, is how much Amazon is going to spend. Why is that important? Because NVIDIA is the principal beneficiary of Amazon's spend. And in the April letter that Andy Jassy put out, he did kind of indicate that maybe NVIDIA is a tax on the system, that it costs too much. NVIDIA has always said, look, when you buy us, we've got, well, we give you a four to one push. In other words, you buy it and you make it back four times over. NVIDIA, a big last Friday.
I think it's interesting to see that it's giving that back, but it's been a very big winner for us, as you know, this quarter too. So that's number one. Number two, I want to talk about Goldman Sachs. You know, I think it's very important what the government is doing on deregulation. I think deregulation is more important than what the Fed is doing. We spend, I think, way too much time talking about the Fed. Look, I'm being very abject here. I'm trying to figure out how to make you money. My next book, which is How to Make Money in Any Market, it talks about the idea that if you focus on the Fed, if you focus on these ephemeral issues, you miss the big picture. The big picture right now is deregulation. And deregulation stands at, it's basically upturning everything that we heard over the last four years. What I'm realizing now, and if you read my note last night, is that the Biden administration was targeting business in a very aggressive way, and particularly trying to shut down every single merger. They even tried to shut down the Microsoft merger with Activision. Now that that's gone, there is a tremendous amount of business being done with Goldman Sachs right now about trying to be able to get deals done. Obviously, also Capital One. We're able to see Capital One. They were able to get this Discover deal done. That would have been, I think, hung up by the government forever. And you're seeing that stock go up. This is going to be a competitor to American Express, maybe even the Visa and MasterCard. You know I'm staying on this.
