I'm Jim Cramer and you're about to hear a sample taken directly from today's CNBC Investing Club morning meeting. Look, my principal reason why I'm scrutinizing things is because we know that the president watches the market very closely. We know that there are situations where you want to be able to get in because the president because he does change his mind a great deal. And then there's situations like entirely just kind of crazy because they just are so powerful and that's the SanDisk and the Intels. I'm not as interested in those but I know that a lot of people want to be in those because they just have tremendous momentum.
SPEAKER_4 (1:37)
You mentioned he watches the market. How about the bond market, the 10-year spiking to 4.28% this morning after the tariff news?
Jim Cramer (1:47)
Maybe there's some dumping of treasuries. The president wants very much to see interest rates lower in order to be able to get the housing industry the right direction. We have to be very careful. There are messages that the president puts forward that are very contrary over and over and over again which is why again I want to stay away from speculation. I want to buy high quality. I do want to buy some Google this week ahead of our Thursday meeting because I don't find you're going to get a chance to buy it other than in something like this. I don't want to buy things that have high price durings, multiples that I don't think I can make the numbers obviously that would be terrible. Here I'm thinking about like a service now which still has a high price durings multiple.
SPEAKER_4 (2:24)
Well, you mentioned Alphabet.
SPEAKER_1 (2:25)
Maybe we could throw up some tech names here.
SPEAKER_2 (2:28)
Maybe see what they're doing in video.
SPEAKER_4 (2:31)
You can see Alphabet down a percent and a half.
Jim Cramer (2:33)
That was down $8 at one point. It's not down there. I think this is a buy. I just think it's a plan out buy. Start your day with my outlook on the daily market every morning at 10, 20 a.m. Visit cnbc.com/morningtake to access all the benefits of being a CNBC Investing Club member.
