Nigel Show, all right. 93 WIBC.

I just did not have a good time in any way, shape or form watching that Colts game yesterday, Hammer. And that was on my couch. I couldn't imagine paying for it like you did. You were a card carrying Colts season ticket holder. Are you not?

Hammer (0:19)

That was my Christmas gift. The coupon lady bought season tickets for us. So it was like, all right, let's go. We like to tailgate. We like to drink. We have a good time with the people around us. And then the game started yesterday, and the opening game, the opening drive, the opening drive, there's so much energy in the building. Right.

But man, after the missed extra point, just totally deflated, the wheels fell off. Like it kind of ruined my whole weekend because I was having a great weekend. We did the Colts 5K in the morning, got some work out in. We went to the Yacht Rock Review Show on Saturday night, which was awesome.

Nigel (1:02)

I was going to say, how was it?

Hammer (1:03)

I had never been to see Yacht Rock Review before. What a fun show. You know every song. People are singing along. There's a ton of Hammer and Nigel listeners, people taking pictures. Where's Nigel? Nigel sucks. And I'm high fiving them.

I mean, we have such a good time at Yacht Rock. And then the next day, it's, you know, optimism. It's opening day. Here come the Colts. We're opening drive touchdown. Missed extra point. And then the kickoff. The Ravens almost run back to the house.

Nigel (1:36)

March right down the field.

Hammer (1:37)

Two plays later, they're in the end zone. And then there's a turnover, and it was on. I mean, what an absolute bleep show.

What a disgusting performance. And I'm old enough to remember back on January 5th of this very year, at the end of the year, when Carly Ursay walked up to the podium and had this to say about Chris Ballard and the head coach Shane Steichen.

Carly Ursay (2:06)

We have been very clear with Chris and Shane that giving them another opportunity means that the sense of urgency for them to deliver and perform has never been higher. Chris and Shane are both capable of facing this challenge head-on and finding a way to achieve the results that our fans deserve.

Hammer (2:32)

Ah, that sounds pretty ominous, right? Boy, if I were Chris Ballard and if I were Shane Steichen, I'd make sure this entire off season, I'd come out balls out on opening day and make sure my defense is ready because it's the Ravens. And you know, they're going to run the ball with Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson is going to be good. So make sure you've got a game plan ready.

Derrick Henry had like 150 rushing yards. Lamar Jackson threw for over 300 Zay Flowers, the slot receiver, had 150 yards in a touchdown in one half, one half because he injured his hamstring and didn't even play in the second half. What an absolute disgusting, disgusting effort. And anybody that paid for that should be pissed off. And it's re-damnediculous that 10 years in, to Chris Ballard's tenure, there's a lot of media people in the city that are afraid to say fire this guy.

Fire this guy! Again, I'm not sitting in the press box. I'm not getting the free nachos. I'm not getting the hot dogs. I'm not doing that. We are paying customers, Crystal Hammer and I. We paid for that. It's 10 years and you've not won the worst division in football. That includes the Titans, the Texans, and the Jags, who have all won divisions before you have. This is crap! Somebody needs to lose a job because of this stuff.

Nigel (3:59)

Kept on hearing all about this. I keep on hearing this word, continuity, for the Indianapolis Colts organization. Everybody's coming back. Everybody's healthy, you know, 99% healthy. And then, you know, they had the Ravens come in, have a totally new operation, totally new coach, totally new playbook.

Maybe they'd be just a little bit, what's the word, discombobulated, cut it in? No, not at all. No, not against the, boy, there is a lot of continuity. The Colts had a lot of continuity coming into this season.

Hammer (4:30)

That defense is awful. I mean, awful. The linebacking corps, the guy they drafted in the second round because they didn't have a first round pick. So the guy they drafted first in their draft in the second round, the linebacker from Georgia.

Zero snaps played yesterday because it sounds like he's a bust. Now, you can say he's hurt whatever. No, he's a bust. The starting linebacker played over 40 snaps and had as many tackles as producer Allison had, and she's in Scotland.
