It's October 7th, New York Rangers News Today starts now. AI powered and game ready. I'm Corey with the story. All right, let's dive into some exciting stuff coming out of New York.

The Rangers just bagged their fourth straight win against the Islanders, and a key highlight was rookie Cole Beaudoin making his NHL debut. That's a huge moment for him and the team.

On another note, the Rangers did lose their starting fourth line center, Joe Veleno, who's now on injured reserve with a lower body issue.

Depth at center isn't the team's strongest suit, so this is a tough break, especially since they were trying to shore that up in the offseason. Then there's the bright spot. Beaudoin stepped in after a solid showing in the AHL. He led the Rangers out for warmups, which is always a cool tradition, and even though he didn't appear on the score sheet, he played well defensively during his time on the ice. That kind of debut is no small feat, especially in a rivalry game like this. Beaudoin's approach was all about enjoying the moment. He chatted with the media afterward, sharing how this is a dream come true. It's clear he's got the right mindset, and the nerves didn't stop him from handling the pressure. So now, with Veleno's return time still up in the air, this gives Beaudoin a golden chance to shine and show the coaching staff what he's got. It'll be interesting to see if he can make a case for sticking around on the roster.
