Jim Cramer here to share a short preview of my take on the market from today's Members Only CNBC Investing Club morning meeting. Join the club for full access to the morning meeting every day at 10:20 a.m. Visit cnbc.com/morningtake to sign up today. That's one word, morning take. It's pretty much a fulcrum day.
Fulcrum because if the president decides that the Strait of Hormuz doesn't have to be open, which is what we hear, well that presents a lot of different opportunities. It makes it so that the market has quite a different coloration, including oil coming down. Oil coming down is going to relieve the inflation problem. To relieve the inflation problem, you don't want to buy Home Depot. You're going to want to buy Toll Brothers. You're going to want to buy anything home-oriented, anything retail-oriented. And that's the market we have right now, with the exception of the fact that the hyperscalers are all doing well.
SPEAKER_2 (1:52)
Yeah, we'll see. And this news, of course, comes after the Wall Street Journal reported that Trump has told Aides that he's willing to end the war without reopening the Strait.
Jim Cramer (2:00)
You know, that's extraordinary.
It's been, along with nukes, it's breakable. It's a no-deal without it. And suddenly, you start thinking to yourself, that's how he's going to get out of it. He's not going to negotiate the Strait, he's just going to go.
SPEAKER_2 (2:15)
We're looking for ways to off-ramp a war that has been this entire month. And, of course, March has been a very bad month for stocks. Oscillator moved back to oversold territory yesterday. So, you know, maybe this is part oversold bounce here. We also have...
Jim Cramer (2:33)
Well, I mean, that's dangerous, obviously, right? Because without follow-through, and the president starts bombing things again, these will all be repealed.
SPEAKER_2 (2:42)
Yes. And that's the tricky part to this market, is how much it is influenced by this military campaign, and the impact it has on oil. Oil, by the way, today, relatively unchanged, crossed above 100 yesterday, WTI.
Jim Cramer (2:58)
In the air, remember, I tell you to look at some oil companies, they go a little bit ahead of the future. Chevron, I don't know if you have a picture of Chevron, but that's been the one that leads everything up, and you can say, oh, my, I guess things are going to start coming down with Chevron. But there's crazy things happening.
