The war obviously is disconcerting. A lot of people are talking about how there's a no win thing for us and other people saying, yeah, let's see what happens with this. We have the oil reaction, which is up a lot. But then we have go back to where I wrote this weekend. I don't mean to be too reverential to myself. But my point is, as long as interest rates are kind of flat, then you can buy stocks. And sure enough, that seems to transcend the interest rates.
Jeff Marks (1:50)
Yeah, that was the key the other week when Jerome Powell said the Fed doesn't need to hike into this oil spike. That's what put the top in on interest rates and the bottom in the S&P. But we are coming off a very big week. Oscillator now in to overbought territory, which causes us to look around the portfolios to see where we can lighten up a little bit. We said last Friday we would trim Broadcom if we were not restricted. Not restricted today, so made a sale there.
Jim Cramer (2:23)
Right, and that was good. And we also sold some Goldman last week. These are portfolio shufflies, but also we're not, we don't want to be too greedy. These have been really terrific ones. The question would be, okay, if you're not too greedy, you sell some corning. I'm reluctant to do it because I think people don't realize how much data center it is. I've actually bounced corning off a number of people, and everyone says the same thing, which is, are you kidding me? Corning? Corning glass? They remember it as like Pyrex. I mean, give me a break. It's not that. What it is is the best way to be able to move things between the NVIDIA platform. I don't want to say chip because they're much bigger than that.
But can this continue to go up? As long as people don't recognize that it is part of the data center, the answer is yes.
Jeff Marks (3:11)
Yeah, we are seeing strength in tech today, the data center trade, but also software stocks too, with names like CrowdStrike, Palo Alto, Salesforce, Rebounding.
