A lot of notes on the banks today ahead of earnings. We mentioned Goldman Sachs. There was a note by Jeffries. They lowered their price target slightly. Still 1,049. They maintained the buy. Says the war should be positive for trading revenues. We talked about that. There was also a couple of Wells Fargo. Goldman actually raised its price target to 96

Jim Cramer (1:29)

You got a nice move in Wells.

SPEAKER_4 (1:31)

Yeah. Another one we were nibbling on.

Jim Cramer (1:33)

What's interesting is, look, we're nowhere near where we were. Okay. And I think that there's a, among some stocks, some cohorts, there's just a sense, you know what, look, that these are not Iran stocks. I mean, this is just something which is, if you think that consumer confidence is coming down, then you have to trim. Now, we're trimming some Goldman because Goldman got too big.

SPEAKER_4 (1:57)

Yeah.

Jim Cramer (1:57)

I don't feel that down 12 that we want to sell Wells. It just doesn't make sense to me. Yeah.

SPEAKER_4 (2:04)

And Goldman on Wells say it's one of the better position names into earnings within their coverage, rate cuts coming out of the forward curve. So that could be because of maybe the labor market doing a little bit better this past month or also the worries of inflation after the recent oil spike. But anyway, the rate cuts coming out, that could be positive for their net interest income. And then Capital One price target lowered at Barclays 226 But it's one of the stocks they say they favor into earnings.

Jim Cramer (2:34)

Now, this again is probably the worst in that right here, you had a lot of analysts take their target price up.

SPEAKER_4 (2:41)

250, 275, 287 where Barclays was.

Jim Cramer (2:44)

And then the next thing you know, it goes down here. And that's when they cut the price target. Now, I think it's not really as valuable, of course, is that they cut it here. I do think that there's still no talk about the comment about what the amount of cash flow you have in the combination. A combination can be very, very powerful.

SPEAKER_4 (3:04)

Yes.

Jim Cramer (3:04)

It's just not talked about. And here it was talked about endlessly. So I just want to warn people that the reportage about the street on this one is quite awful.

SPEAKER_4 (3:13)

Yeah, and they say they favor it for the debit migration synergy, so they're just the synergies from the Discover Deal, as you were alluding to, capital return acceleration, and the stock trades at just seven and a half times 2027 Street PES.

Jim Cramer (3:26)

Once again, I would say that this in Boeing, this in Boeing are two that I think could have dramatic moves.

We had a dramatic move with this, and then we down 25 This is one that a lot of people, when you talk to them about what's changed in the banking business, this company since the merger. So I really want to keep that one in front of you.
