One of the reasons why we talked about before the market opened, a terrific stock, I mean a stock that I love, Broadcom.
I thought we should trim and I thought, I mean, did yesterday too. Why? Because I don't like this kind of move. Now, what happens here is discipline always trumps conviction people. The discipline says you can't own a parabolic move even if you love a company. I think that Broadcom is terrific, but I did not want to give back because we were here. And right there-
SPEAKER_4 (1:45)
It was down double digits?
Jim Cramer (1:46)
Right there, yes. I was thinking perhaps we double check and double check. There was nothing wrong, but it didn't matter. It was time to buy, and here it's time to take a little off.
SPEAKER_4 (1:58)
And the catalyst for this move, so last week, big long-term supply agreement with Alphabet and an expanded partnership with Anthropic. And then last night, the company made a similar announcement with Meta. They're calling it a multi-year, multi-generation strategic partnership, delivering technology to support meta-training and inference accelerator. That's the MTIA chips with plans to extend through 2029
The initial commitment exceeds 1 gigawatt. It's going to ramp over time. Mellius Research Ben Reitzis, the analyst there, says the Meta partnership reflects a total adjustable market of 15 billion per gigawatt. And Hock Tan, he's been a board member guiding Meta on their journey. Well, he's going to transition off the board, but still remain in an advisor role for Meta, providing guidance on their custom silicon road map.
Jim Cramer (2:51)
I may argue that he should, given the fact that they had this gigantic, gigantic deal, that maybe it's not looks good that he's a board member. So, I mean, I think Hock's doing the right thing.
SPEAKER_4 (3:03)
And I think what this does to these deals, it gives some line of sight in over the next few years about where AI revenues can go.
Of course, Broadcom, major customers, Alphabet, Anthropic, Meta, ByteDance. There are more too. They have a deal with OpenAI. So, a lot of big customers as well.
