How you doing, bro?
**CeeLo Green** (1:51)
I'm good, King. I'm good.
**Shannon Sharpe** (1:53)
Man, when you hear all that, I mean, like, bro, you're like, what do you think? When you hear somebody, and I don't know if you've heard it quite like that, but to run down just a small sample of what you've been able to accomplish in your music career, what do you think?
**CeeLo Green** (2:07)
I think it's amazing.
I'm humbled to know that that's my acumen. I can't believe it. I've done so much in such a short amount of time.
I feel like my career is still young, you know what I mean? Like, we've only been doing it about 30 years. We were just having this conversation the other day because we were talking about OutKast being inducted into the Hall of Fame. And there are some rock bands from the 60s that haven't even gotten into the Hall of Fame. You know what I mean? So them to have done it in 30 years or so, roughly, is an amazing feat. You know what I mean? It's incomparable. And so even just reading that list, I'm like, I can't believe that that belongs to me because I'm still hungry, I'm still humble, and I'm still going.
**Shannon Sharpe** (2:46)
Man, you know what? I know you don't normally partake, but to get you on here, to get my homeboy on here, because last time you and I had a conversation, I met you, you were in Target.
**CeeLo Green** (2:56)
Yes.
**Shannon Sharpe** (2:57)
And you took a picture of my daughter, like, man, dad, that's CeeLo. I was like, babe, I want to get a picture.
**CeeLo Green** (3:03)
And this was some years ago, too.
**Shannon Sharpe** (3:04)
Many years ago. She was still in high school, as a matter of fact. And I was like, all right, I came up to you and said, man, no problem, no problem, big homie. So I really appreciate that. Congratulations on everything that you've done.
**CeeLo Green** (3:15)
And to you as well.
**Shannon Sharpe** (3:16)
Appreciate you.
**CeeLo Green** (3:17)
And look, I got to mock it, like, oh yeah, that's some good cognac, boy. I can't drink right now, but we were talking about it all the time.
I don't mind talking about that.
**Shannon Sharpe** (3:28)
You say you had, you know what I'm talking about, say that's part of what thing is getting old. And you say, that's the thing that I thought, gout. So you have a problem with gout, and obviously they give you a list of things that you probably, to keep it from flaring up. Yes.
Spicy foods, anything that has high acidity, because it builds up the uric acid in your body, and man, it's painful.
**CeeLo Green** (3:47)
It's excruciatingly painful. I've never experienced something so enabling in my entire life. And I just got stricken with it all of a sudden. I guess maybe the body just had-
**Shannon Sharpe** (3:58)
Built up so much inflammation.
**CeeLo Green** (3:59)
Absolutely. And it just hit me one day, and I thought it was probably because I had been, you know how you lean your foot off the bed, just sit out there in the AC all night.
