As much as they would love that, there's a lot of wine, wine aficionados on that team. I don't know. There's like, it seemed like, again, I'll go back to that point I made of like the desperation that I think this team felt in wanting LeBron because it almost, it was, they were almost gaming for this idea of like, maybe we're not going to be like contenders this season, but we'll be a lot of fun. And to me that might've even put LeBron off because I think there was like almost like a carnival aspect to it, right? Where it's like every night of your potentially last season or second last season, it's just like a Harlem Globe Trouters-esque situation. And sometimes it's sad to watch those guys because they are quite old. And like, so are these guys. So I just think they were looking at LeBron as like a potential fix, aesthetics fix almost, like a surface level fix, but it wouldn't, I don't think it would have addressed anything below. And the vibes, let's be honest, like the vibes there have been pretty poor since Draymond Green punched Jordan Poole in the face. Like to me, that's kind of where this like this deep, deep fracture happened, which I think that makes a lot of sense why it did. It wasn't addressed properly. You kind of shamed this guy out of town.
There was really no, like as much as in the NBA, we can get sort of like acknowledgement of things, which like were pretty light on acknowledgement to begin with. But that was one thing where I think it could have gone two ways, and it went, it's worth the bad way.
It's just like there's a lot of like disparate vibes, like Steph's over here, Trayvon's over here, Jimmy's kind of trying to make it work in the middle, being a bit wacky. I think the vibes for like the lesser, you know, I don't want to say lesser, but you know, like the not so big names on that team are good, you know, through and through, but it's a bit like despot vibes.

Yeah. You wrote, you made that Harlem Globetrotter comparison in your newsletter, and it was so perfect to me because I couldn't quite put my finger on what it felt like, and you were 100% right, and I was like, yes, that's it. I read that, I was like, perfect, because to me, and I've said this on the show before, but to me, the Warriors never had a ceiling problem. We know what their ceiling is. With Steph and Draymond and Steve Kerr, your ceiling was championship. The problem was always their floor, and at this stage in his career, I don't know that LeBron is a floor raiser, especially not for that particular roster, and I just thought for everything that the Warriors didn't have, I didn't think they needed LeBron. I think they needed some high-end rotation guys who were younger and available and can just play 70-plus games in a year so that Steph didn't have to run the entire offense and be the entire offense, and Draymond didn't have to be the only good defensive player every given night. And that's where I thought they needed to make some additions to the roster, and instead of doing that, they spent the last few weeks having Draymond Green golf with LeBron James every single day and just hope that that turned out to be something, like they were trying to close out some sort of business deal, right before like a big sale or something, like let's merge right before selling the company or something, or before IPO goes out or whatever it is. Very Silicon Valley. Very Silicon Valley of them, right? You're very on brand, go chase center, way to go.
