Let's go to Detroit. Let's start there. That's the team that you are most closely associated with, and I do think the most interesting team here. So there's 60 and 22 last year. First place, not only in this division, but in the Eastern Conference, and they have a pretty interesting off season. When you really look at it on paper, there's a lot more turnover than I think I gave it credit for. So gone, Tobias Harris, Caris Levert, Marcus Sasser, Isaiah Stewart. Four guys who played really important roles for that team last year, and they replaced them with John Collins, Gary Harris, Isaiah Joe, Torian Prince, and then they draft Iboka Okori, who I like, but I don't know that we can factor him in in terms of a one year impact guy as a rookie.
So I was with you where, you know what, I kind of liked this stuff when it first happened, and the more I've sat with their off season, the least I've liked it. And by the way, for Jalen Durin, I guess that's the obvious TBD here. I'm gonna assume he's back on the team. I just don't know how much money he's getting paid, but you and I are assuming that Jalen Durin is on the team, right?

We, yeah, over on the Pistons Pulse, we've essentially told our listeners, until something different, like, I shouldn't say significant comes out, or he actually gets traded, all conversations are with the assumption that Jalen Durin is on the Detroit Pistons in some capacity.

So, I look at their depth chart, love Cade Cunningham, Duncan Robinson, Osorio Thompson, Jalen Durin, four out of the five starters are coming back. I'm assuming John Collins starts at the four.

Sasser's out, that's okay, they have Dennis Jenkins as the backup point guard. I like Isaiah Joe quite a bit for this team. I love that addition for them. If you needed ad shooting, they still have Kevin Herter floating around. Ron Holland is there, Toyin Prince is there. There's some depth there, but you mentioned it wasn't the way that you would have approached the offseason. You're not sure that they got better.
I'm not sure that they got better either, even though I like some of these pieces. What did you mean by that?

I think for me, this would have been the offseason to be aggressive. Listen, there's some reports out there that maybe they did try to be aggressive. It's easy for me to say, go get Trey Murphy and not know what the draft capital is to get Trey Murphy.
If you want to go get Austin Reeves, Austin Reeves has to...
It takes both sides of those things, right? And so maybe they tried to be aggressive and they just weren't able to get to the finish line on any deal for any player like that. It's just like, I still think they need that number two guy. I think Jalen Durin is better than what he showed in the playoffs, but I don't know that he's ever going to translate the 20 point per game we saw in the regular season to the playoffs. And so I do think they need a Trey Murphy and Austin Reeves. I brought up the idea of like if Kyrie Irving came available in a trade, like if Dallas decided they wanted to move off from Kyrie Irving, that would be an interesting name. Even if they just kind of hedge a little bit with somebody who's a little bit older, just for a little bit of a proof of it. You mentioned Norman Powell. My dream here is that Detroit trades for Norman Powell at the deadline. To me, that's great for Chicago. They get 50 games of Norman Powell to help this young group develop and be competitive. Then they trade Norman Powell for some draft capital. He goes to Detroit and he's the number two perimeter scoring option for the Pistons for a playoff run. I would love that scenario for Detroit.
