Well, good afternoon and welcome.
**Drew Mariani** (0:20)
Hey, thanks for joining me today. It is good to be here with you. I'm going to tell you how much I appreciate praying with you. And if you want to get in my call screen, you should actually take a quick peek at that. I think there's a couple lines open. They tend to fill up very quickly. I say it every day. I know I'm a broken record. Nick's on Twitter. So if you don't get through, that's not in your speed dial. You can get a hold of him by simply going to our our ex account. And you can send us a post to at Drew Mariani Show.
At Drew Mariani Show, you can follow me at Drew Mariani. It's my personal Twitter as well. So it's good to stay in touch with you on those platforms. And of course, send us whatever intentions you have. We're streaming on Facebook, YouTube, and Relevant Radio. Plus, and I have in studio with me today, one of my colleagues, always good to pray with Helen. Hi, Drew. Hey, Helen, it's good to have you here.
When Brooke's away, you're here, and I always love it. What's going on in your world? What can we pray for?
**Helen** (1:13)
Well, Drew, first and foremost, I just wanted to say thank you for praying yesterday for all of the victims of COVID and for covering the Fauci hearings, because I just have a lot of, I don't know how better to say it, anger and hatred towards Dr. Fauci. And I have a colleague that everyone at Relevant Radio is so fabulous, but she always reminds me, Helen, you've got to pray for your enemies. I just think that not only with COVID, the people that were directly affected by the illness, but also time that was stolen from people.
It's time that we're never gonna get back. It has eternal implications. So I would like to pray for Dr. Fauci on this chaplet.
**Drew Mariani** (2:05)
It's beautiful for you to say that. And it really is, and it shows a great humility on your part. What happened? Did you lose somebody you loved?
You feel deceived that you've taken an mRNA vaccine that is really not that effective? And what was it that really set you off?
**Helen** (2:21)
Luckily, in my personal opinion, I don't want to make the chaplet too political here, but I avoided taking all forms of the vaccine. It was very controversial in my family at the time. I have a sister who's a nurse. I was working in politics, and so I told her, I'll get vaccinated the next time you go vote. And she never voted, so I never got vaxxed.
But I just have a lot of friends who lost their grandparents who weren't able to visit their grandparents while they were dying and spending time at the hospital last summer talking to all the staff. The amount of trauma that's left in our medical institutions of the workers that had to work overtime that watched people on ventilators day in and day out. Anyways, I could.
**Drew Mariani** (3:15)
There's a lot of, the medical communities lost a lot of trust, unfortunately, and Anthony Fauci back now with his testimony yesterday. But I love it. Let's pray for those who you feel have wronged you and maybe deceived you, have hurt you. And we all have it, whether it's on a grand scale, like what we saw there.
Maybe you lost some of your loves because of COVID and the information you got was not as accurate as you hoped. Maybe somebody deceived you in business. I've been burned in business deals before, and it took a lot to forgive the person who really misrepresented the truth and set you in a wrong light. Or maybe it's your spouse who wasn't faithful to you, or maybe it was your sibling that you fought over the inheritance for, whatever it may be. We all have wounds, right? We all carry them and we offer these opportunities to show that Christian virtue that Christ showed on the cross when he forgave those who put him there. So let's pray in a particular way for that, and pray for our enemies. Let's pray for the conversion of the enemies of this country, too, and for peace in the world. So beautiful prayer, Emma. Helen, I'm grateful for that.
**Helen** (4:20)
Thanks for sharing that with us. On a personal note, Drew, if I could really quick, I finished, I was mentioning this to you last week off air, but I finished the St. Anne's Novena. I did it for the first time this year, and I got through the whole thing, and I did it on behalf of a friend, hoping that some of the graces would trickle down to me as well. So I just want to pray for my vocation.
