Well, good afternoon and welcome. Hey, thanks for joining me today. It is great to be here with you today. And it's a delight to pray with you. Let's pray for our loved ones who have gone before us, those who are suffering right now in purgatory and who need our prayers. We had a wonderful conversation. We were just tuning in with Susan Tosoni just a few moments ago. And if you missed it, she gave some great resources on where you can have masses offered for those loved ones and really bring them some relief from their purgation.

I'm in the studio with my colleague, Annie. Annie, great to have you here with me as well. Thanks for joining me.

Annie (0:56)

Hello, how are you doing?

Drew Mariani (0:58)

I'm well. Is her mic on? Her mic is on, right?

Anything, Annie, you want to pray for or you want to start with?

Annie (1:03)

Yes, we have a few intentions that came in recently. We have Pamela from New Jersey. She went, would like to pray for her friend, Father Murphy, who is in hospice right now.

And he's very young. And then we also have Cat, who would like us to pray for her friend, who just lost her dad to a stroke last night. And she just lost both her mom and grandma one after another. So a lot going on for her right now.

Drew Mariani (1:29)

That's right. A lot of suffering in people's lives. I think about it all the time. It's just the crosses that different people carry. I want to pray for a man who just lost his job.

I just found that out yesterday, and my heart goes out to this person. He had the dream job and he just lost it. So a big time of transition for him. I want to pray for those struggling with addiction today too. I know many of you may have loved ones that struggle in that capacity. I want to send a shout out to a wonderful deacon. His name was Deacon Jim, and I was actually in Maine last week, and he gave a homily.

Deacon, I'm grateful for it. I think it was at St. Patrick's Church is where it was. And he recognized me when I came in, and he put a huge plug in for Relevant Radio. And I thought, what a great way to evangelize. He asked how many people listen to Relevant Radio, he saw some hands go up, and he introduced those who never heard of it to what we do. He mentioned Patrick, mentioned our show and a whole litany of other things. And Deacon, I want to thank you for doing that. Thank you for doing your part to evangelize and to bring Christ to others by introducing him to Relevant, but in a particular way through your own yes, in your deaconate. His homily was great, gave a great homily, told a great story, and second year in a row, I bumped into him. So I just want to say thank you. I'm going to pray for your intentions right now, as I promised I would. Nick joins me today too. Nick, anything you want to pray for?

Nick (2:52)

Thank you, Drew. Yeah, well, after we had that conversation with Susan Tosone about praying for the souls in purgatory, I just like to offer prayers for the members of the Centovich and the Menarche families that have passed away, my dad, my mom, side of the family, my grandparents.

Drew Mariani (3:08)

The other thing too, Nick, and Livia, if she's listening, that's Nick's wife, was going to call in yesterday, right? Send a shout out to your wife too. How's she holding up?

Nick (3:18)

Yeah, she was thinking about it, but it just didn't work out with how the kids are doing. She's doing good, she's a trooper, just getting adjusted to having a newborn and then having a toddler run around who is two years old and has a lot of energy and a lot of enthusiasm. And we're trying to learn gentle hands with his new sister because he doesn't know his own strength and wants to be affectionate with her, but just kind of goes all in and we have to rein him back. So that's awesome. She's got her hands full, but she's really doing great.

Drew Mariani (3:44)

But she wanted to thank everybody for the prayers, right?

Nick (3:46)

She did. She was going to call in yesterday and thank everybody for the prayers and thank everybody for the support. She listens to the Chaplet and she's part of this family and she, I know, has felt the prayers as I have of so many of our listeners and family.
