Nigel (0:01)

You're listening to the Hammer and Nigel Show.

My name is Nigel. Jason Hammers here. How do we play Cameo Price is Right, Hammer?

Jason Hammer (0:14)

Cameo is an online service where you can pay your hard-earned money to get a video message from a celebrity.

Now when I say celebrity, we're not talking about Tom Cruise. We're not talking about Matt Damon here. We're talking about reality show stars or people who have probably seen their best on the backside of their career.

Nigel (0:40)

We're talking about Trump impressionists, retired athletes, yes, pro wrestlers, that kind of thing.

Jason Hammer (0:50)

So the way this game works is I'm going to give you and Allison the name of someone who's currently available on the web service cameo without going over. You tell me how much you think they charge for a personal greeting, a personal video. First one to get three is the winner, and the winner gets their choice of a shot of Moondrops, double oak bourbon, or you could pass it to somebody in the room. It's your choice. OK, Allison won the last time, so she gets to start this time. How much does this individual charge for cameo?

Actor Frankie Avalon, best known for doing the beach movies with Annette Funicello back in the 60s, pops up from time to time, had a cameo in Casino, was in Back to the Beach, like the fluke, you know, kind of beach movie. How much does Frankie Avalon, former teen heartthrob, charge for a message?

Allison (1:54)

I'm going to say $99.

Jason Hammer (1:56)

$99. Nigel.

Nigel (1:59)

I'm going to Hundy. I'm going Frankie Avalon. That's a legend. I mean, he's a stud.

Jason Hammer (2:04)

Point to Nigel. $250. $250 for Frankie Avalon.

Nigel (2:12)

He's a teen idol back in the 50s.

Allison (2:14)

I honestly don't know who he is.

Jason Hammer (2:16)

I don't know.

Nigel (2:17)

You would, you would.

Allison (2:18)

I do see his face. Yeah, I'll Google him.

Nigel (2:20)

You would recognize his songs.

Jason Hammer (2:21)

You never heard Frankie and the Net, like those two paired together?

Allison (2:24)

I hear the name, but yeah, I wasn't placing it. All right.

Jason Hammer (2:27)

All right, Nigel, we go to you.

Nigel (2:29)

Okay. Give it to me.

Jason Hammer (2:32)

Rick Smits, former Indiana Pacer big man, seven feet four out of Marist, was on those Reggie Miller teams, had a cameo in the film Coming to America.

Nigel (2:43)

That's right.

Jason Hammer (2:44)

He was the guy that dunked that required the end of phase scene.

Nigel (2:50)

I love the ducking Dutchman. I'm going to say one hundred and fifty dollars for Rick Smits.

Allison (2:57)

Allison, one hundred and forty nine, both over.

Jason Hammer (3:01)

No points awarded. One hundred dollars.

Allison (3:04)

I said I went with one dollar. Darn it.

Jason Hammer (3:06)

Dude, I could get two Rick Smiths for a Frankie Avalon. All right, Allison, we go to you.

We're going to keep it in the sports world here. Controversial figure Enos Cantor Freedom. He's the former WNBA, former NBA guy that's now trying to get into the WNBA. Enos Cantor Freedom. How much does he charge? Nigel.

Nigel (3:32)

No, I'm going a dollar.

Jason Hammer (3:33)

Big Nigel. Fifty bucks. Yeah, fifty bucks.

Allison (3:37)

This game makes no sense to me.

Nigel (3:38)

I fought for a second because his name was in the pop culture lexicon there for a few minutes.

Allison (3:45)

Right. That's why I went up a little bit. I thought maybe he was going to try to milk it.

Jason Hammer (3:48)

All right. So, Nigel, you can win if you get this one. You can sweep Allison right out of the room here.

Saturday Night Live alum, Chris Catan. Chris Catan was in A Night at the Roxbury.

Nigel (4:00)

I was just watching a clip of him doing a skit with Pamela Anderson. That was really funny from Saturday Night Live on social media. Chris Catan.

Jason Hammer (4:11)

Peepers eating the apple.

Nigel (4:12)

Yeah. Oh, I'm going to do 150

Allison (4:18)

Allison, 151, both over 125 All right.

Nigel (4:22)

Come on.

Jason Hammer (4:24)

We go to Allison.

Former ESPN anchor, turned political talk show host Sage Steel. I believe she's an IU alum, Sage Steel. What does she charge?

Allison (4:37)

I think she would charge 175

Jason Hammer (4:44)

Nigel.

Nigel (4:44)

Oh, you just threw me off adding the 75 there, because I was going to go over 176

Jason Hammer (4:53)

Both over $99.

Nigel, we go to you. The Rock Band Everclear. They do this as a band. They're all together. The Rock Band Everclear.
