Nigel (0:00)

Buckle up, anything can happen here.

Hammer (0:04)

Oh, hell yeah, let it ride, let it ride!

Nigel (0:06)

Hammer and Nigel present Caller Roulette.

Hammer (0:11)

See, normally, I'm the negative one of this group, and Nigel is the one that farts rainbows. But I feel like I'm more excited for this segment than Nigel is right now.

Nigel (0:20)

All right, well, let's see what unfolds, and then we'll figure out who's right and who's wrong.

Hammer (0:25)

All right, so again, if you just turned your radio on, we do this every Tuesday around this time.

Nigel and I have no idea what we're walking into. All we see is a name on a screen. We don't know what they want to talk about. It's real, natural reaction. Let's light this candle. Tom is up first. Tom, what you got?

Tom (0:46)

Hey, good afternoon, guys. Good talking with you again.

Three quick points. Number one, we're going to go Buc-Eez and Greenwood. Hey, there we go. Progress here in the Midwest.

Hammer (0:56)

Have you had a Buc-Eez brisket sandwich, Tom? Have you been to a Buc-Eez yet?

Tom (1:01)

They're too far away, and I won't get to one. I won't get to Walla Walla. They're closer. OK, so we'll find out.

Maybe I'll get down there and try it in spite of what Tony Katz is saying about that this morning.

Hammer (1:15)

Tony Katz is a food snob, though. Like, imagine Tony Katz walking into a gas station. It'd be the most miserable experience you would ever have in your life. Like, unless they're serving some Grey Poo Pond themed, you know, item, he's going to act like Mr. Hoity Toity. And heaven forbid, there's a ladder in front of the place. He won't even get out of his car. So no, no, you don't want to go to a gas station or convenience store with Tony Katz. He's not a dude.

Nigel (1:42)

Tom, I'm telling you, Wally's has some really good brisket sandwiches too.

Sean (1:47)

Just saying.

Tom (1:48)

We'll get party going though. Oh, incidentally, all that roller food in so little time.

Sean (1:53)

That's right.

Tom (1:55)

Got to think of it.

Number two, quick point. I love arguments when you're on that. And you need a local version of that. You're talking about advertising icons a couple weeks ago on it. And we got some good ones here. Don Davis, Bob Katerson. There was a guy, a short lived time called The Giveaway Guy a few years ago on Channel Four. Even Ken Nunn are definite icons here in town.

Hammer (2:20)

We've had conversations, Tom, in the past about like the Mount Rushmore of local TV pitchmen or television personalities. I mean, you could go with that line up at Channel Four, which was strong. Sammy Terry and Janey and Cowboy Bob. But then you get into the commercial lexicon. You've got everything from Bob Catterson. You've got the Watsons girl, our friend Jennifer.

Sean (2:44)

She's up there.

Hammer (2:45)

She's up there, man. Crazy Mickey, the Beeper King.

Tom (2:49)

Oh, yeah.

Hammer (2:51)

Don's guns.

Sean (2:52)

So many memorable ones.

Hammer (2:53)

Yeah, Don Davis. I DJed a wedding, Tom, and Don was there once. This was years ago.

He's no longer with us, but he was at the wedding. And I don't know if he was just always in character or if that's who he is, who he was, but he's walking around. He's finger gunning people. He's calling people sugar lips. Like, I think that's just who he was, man. And it was awesome.

Nigel (3:14)

I just love to sell them.

Tom (3:16)

Right.

Hammer (3:16)

Right.

Tom (3:17)

Yes. So we all get together and say, folks, I don't want to make any money. I just love to sell guns.

Hammer (3:24)

There it is. Tom, I appreciate you, brother. Thank you.

Sean is up next. Sean, what do you want to talk about?

Sean (3:31)

Hey, guys, big fan. Been listening to you guys since you started. How are you doing today?

Hammer (3:36)

Great, man.

Sean (3:37)

Great, buddy.

Right on. I just want to talk about a big issue that everybody's concerned with and talking about. And, you know, I figured I'd talk about it online.

Hammer (3:50)

What you got?

I knew it was coming. I knew it was coming. That setup was way too long for there not to be some sort of wacky punchline in there. I gave Allison a little signal like, be careful here. Sean, I appreciate it. I appreciate it, brother.

Sean (4:08)

Where we all, man?

Hammer (4:10)

You got it. You got it. You know what I've kind of been watching a lot of? These AI themed little House of the Prairie videos.
