Buckle up, anything can happen here. Oh, hell yeah, let it ride. Let it ride. Hammer and Nigel present Caller Roulette.
**SPEAKER_3** (0:13)
Responsible radio shows have their producer listen to you off the air, and they coach you up. Turn down your radio. What do you want to talk about? Please don't say the F word.
We don't do that around here. Just cross your fingers and hope you've got common sense. This is called Caller Roulette. Now we don't take a lot of calls on this show.
**SPEAKER_2** (0:37)
Not a lot.
**SPEAKER_3** (0:38)
Some news talk shows, it's all about calls. Like when I filled in in Philadelphia over the holidays, like the guy I filled in for takes calls all the time. I had to make it clear when I was filling in, we're not doing that here.
**SPEAKER_2** (0:49)
We have guests.
**SPEAKER_3** (0:51)
Yes.
**SPEAKER_2** (0:52)
There's a difference.
**SPEAKER_3** (0:53)
Totally, totally. But when we do take calls, we want to do it in a fun, different way.
We don't want to know what you're talking about. All we have is a list of names in front of us. Allison has given us these people's names. We have no clue what they want to talk about. Could be the war in Iran. It could be, you know, dogs being petted to aggressively in a park. Nobody knows.
So that's why we call it Caller Roulette.
**SPEAKER_2** (1:22)
Good Lord.
**SPEAKER_3** (1:23)
Sometimes it's good. Sometimes it's bad. But if you're on hold, keep your radio turned down. Please do not swear. Keep it brief.
Let's light this candle. Tim is up first. Tim, welcome to the Hammer and Nigel Show. What's up, brother?
**Tim** (1:39)
Hey, man, real quick. Hey, I think you guys need a segment called Stepping on Your Crank, and I got a good one for you. Ryan Mears, our prosecutor from Marion County, is about a week ago, maybe two weeks ago, they had an amnesty where if you lost your license, it was revoked, suspended, whatever, you could come downtown, and it was at one of the venues downtown. I don't know if it was-
**SPEAKER_2** (2:05)
It may have been Game Bridge.
**Tim** (2:07)
Yeah, Game Bridge, right. They had over 3,000 people show up. They had two metal detectors, and the people were getting pissed off because it was taking so long. So they had to call in IMPB to help calm the people down so it didn't get out of control.
So is that not stepping on your crank or what?
**SPEAKER_3** (2:31)
That is a pretty good definition. Yeah, we'll take that as an example for sure.
**SPEAKER_2** (2:35)
Write that down, Allison, please. And so we don't forget.
**SPEAKER_3** (2:39)
Another thing on Ryan Mears, a couple of weeks back, he said he wanted to really focus on getting corruption out of Indy. Well, based on these reports from the Indy star and Mirror Indy, last time I checked, those were not conservative outlets, you know.
Put your money where your mouth is, Ryan Mears. Go after Boss Hogshead. If you think there's pay for play going on, if you think there's other things going on, send your goons over there. They can wear Jordans. It's fine, because I know that's really important to Ryan Mears. But go over to Boss Hogshead's office. Start passing out some subpoenas. Let's get some grand jury going on, Johnny Tough Guy.
Hey, it's not our reporting. It's the Indy star. It's Mirror Indy. So let's go with it. I'm here for it. Let's see if Mears has the guts. Tom is up next. Tom, rock and roll.
**Tim** (3:34)
Hey, guys. How are you doing? Great show. Love you guys, man. You guys really entertain everybody.
This is barking up a tree that everybody's been up. But the DOT, I don't know if people are aware, the DOT yard on Brookville Road, right next to 465, that road is freshly paved, brand new lines going into their parking lot. But right outside, you've got a bridge right there with a pothole, where rebar is coming through the road.
Okay. It's like, who's getting paid off here? Right. I want to know who's getting paid. Because I'm from Jersey originally. I've been out here about eight years, and I thought the roads back home were horrible. And I do lift and Uber. These roads, I mean, somebody's on a take, and somebody's got to do an audit when my representative's office tells me that DLT is a billion dollars shortfall. Well, where's the money?
**SPEAKER_3** (4:35)
You're right.
**SPEAKER_2** (4:37)
Department of Transportation.
**Tim** (4:38)
I appreciate it. Thanks.
**SPEAKER_3** (4:40)
You got it, Tom.
