Nigel (0:00)

Buckle up, anything can happen here.

SPEAKER_2 (0:03)

Oh, hell yeah, let it ride! Let it ride!

Nigel (0:06)

Hammer and Nigel present Caller Roulette. Yeah, how does Caller Roulette work?

Hammer (0:13)

Well, Nigel, it works like this. Everything that we've worked to build up over the last nine years, we let it ride on this segment. It could be incredibly fascinating. It could be a Marconi award winning segment, or somebody could talk about one of our colleagues' feet and make things real weird.

Anything could happen here.

Nigel (0:37)

That's already happened.

Hammer (0:39)

Weirdo.

All right. All we ask is you keep it brief and you keep it clean. Jason is up first, right out of the gate. Jason, what's up, brother?

SPEAKER_2 (0:49)

Robert Ducky, you're no one.

SPEAKER_4 (0:51)

I'm going to stick to you up my bum.

SPEAKER_5 (0:54)

OK, we're off and running, baby.

Hammer (0:59)

Cue that Marconi award up right now. Start polishing it up right now.

That's how you start a caller roulette. Jason, off the top rope right out of the gate, Nigel.

Nigel (1:10)

That's do we have to even remind people who may not have been listening to the segment before why he was singing that? I don't.

Hammer (1:18)

We had a story about a weirdo that broke into somebody's hot tub. You know, did something with the rubber ducky that may or may not have involved his anus, may or may not.

Nigel (1:33)

This has been one of those shows, man.

Hammer (1:36)

It's been a good show.

Nigel (1:37)

That's what it's been. Now you're right.

Hammer (1:40)

Nigel, do you want to tell me who's standing by on line two?

SPEAKER_5 (1:43)

Oh, Gary, Gary, my man.

Hammer (1:48)

What's up, brother?

SPEAKER_4 (1:51)

Hey, Hammer, you know what makes me sick?

Hammer (1:55)

What?

SPEAKER_4 (1:57)

I'm 70 years old, man. And, you know, having to do with this, I think my whole life, people's been trying to scare me to death all the way back to grade school with the Cold War. And we were all going to die from nuclear weapons.

Hammer (2:15)

Such a good point.

SPEAKER_4 (2:16)

We even did the drills, you know, you're supposed to get under your desk, as if that's going to save you. You know, and then it was a coming ice age. I remember it on the magazine cover. I think it was Life or one of the science magazines, you know, overpopulation. We were all going to have five square feet to live in.

That scared me to death.

Nigel (2:39)

What about Y2K? A little bit more recent.

SPEAKER_5 (2:43)

Yeah, but you know what?

SPEAKER_4 (2:44)

On the AI thing, and I don't pretend to quite understand it, but I do know this. I do not want Bernie Sanders, Chuck Schumer and Mitch McConnell trying to solve it.

Hammer (3:01)

I don't want them trying to do anything like solve AI or tie their shoe at this point.

Like, I'm not even sure Mitch McConnell's capable of even understanding this conversation. But Gary, I'm with you. I'm with you 100 percent. We had a story earlier today where the House Speaker, the Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson said, You don't want the government to try to solve this. Like when the Speaker of the House of the Government comes out and says, Yeah, you better make this a private industry deal because we're all a bunch of idiots. That should tell you everything you need to know right there, Gary. I appreciate you, brother.

Jake is up next. Jake, what you got?

SPEAKER_4 (3:46)

Oh, Earth Riders.

SPEAKER_2 (3:51)

Oh, thanks for the planet Earth and AI.

I have to ask you guys a very serious question. Write down the pipeline of your business. OK, I'm carrying on the back carrying on the back of the guy that just was on before the AI thing in your industry. See, I've always been a radio guy. Nigel, I listened to you in the 90s when I was in Broad Ripple and Hammer. You went to the same school that I did.

Nigel (4:18)

And I'm a little older than you.

SPEAKER_2 (4:19)

But what I'm saying is through broadcasting, through T-Com in your industry and your business, nobody has really let the cat out of the bag yet.

How is this in your guys' mind? I know it's inside baseball. You probably can't say too much. But do you know how radio is going to change in the future with this AI stuff? That's my question. And I'm going to shut up and let you respond, please.

Hammer (4:44)

Jake, thank you so much for that.
