You ever look at somebody and go, I wonder, I wonder what made that? What's the recipe here for all of this? Especially the forehead, that, no, not the forehead, but more so the production, the refusal or seeming inability to grasp consequences for one's actions and to just dig so deep in that.

They're incapable of operating on the reality that the rest of us are. Or would they just utterly refuse to in such a way? What makes this? Well, in the case of Caleb Flynn, we got a little bit of a look, a little look-see. In other cases like Kohbeger and such, we don't have that much information. Well, I take that back. To a certain extent, we've gotten a little bit more with the letter that they've now written about little Bry and standing behind him and lifting a bunch of words from a shitty book from somebody who didn't do enough research, in my opinion, about the case before they wrote it before a publisher said, that'll make us some money.

So I guess, you know, today they are somewhat in that camp a bit of doubling down, tripling down on the innocence of a clearly guilty person. And when it's your own kid, that's got to be a hard one. I can't imagine, never been in this situation, hopefully never will be.

But there's got to be kind of a right and a wrong way to handle that, doesn't there? I mean, there's just certain lines where maybe you can support your little murderous son within reason.

I think the reason and the line becomes, where do your words of support become detrimental and kicking salt and dirt or pissing literally in the wounds of your grandchildren, which I kind of feel grandma and grandpa Flynn here are kind of doing. And it's not just salt and dirt and I mean, we're talking full on they had Taco Bell when the lettuce thing was going down and everybody was going everywhere. That sort of stuff in the wounds of their grandchildren. Sorry, trying to make that as non graphic as possible. But these letters are kind of that. Three days after a jury convicted Caleb Flynn of aggravated murder, his father wrote the judge about a phone call. Mike Flynn was on a call with his son at the Miami County Jail when he says, a corrections officer shouted out to commend him and his wife for raising such a respectful son. That story sits in a letter asking judge Jeannine Pratt to go easy on the man who shot his wife, Ashley Flynn, twice in the head in their bed while their daughters were just 50 feet down the hall. This man's granddaughters go easy on him. After all, the judge said, I raised a pretty good young man there. And if a judge says, I raised a pretty good young man, you know, it says a lot, doesn't it? Apple doesn't fall far from the tree when it comes to narcissism, in my opinion.

He, I mean, look at this dad is somehow making the letter about himself and how good of a son he raised. The judge says so never matter that he's in there for putting two bullets in the head of his granddaughter's mother.

But you raised a pretty good little boy there, didn't you, Mr. Pastor Man? Whoa, whoa, whoa, praise Jesus. You sick, stupid fuck. Mike and Kim Flynn each wrote one. Of course they did, because one isn't enough. Couldn't have a joint letter from mom and dad. We got to have them from both sides. Both dated October 2nd, 2026 And between them, the letters run more than 500 words. The name Ashley isn't in either one. And neither of the two daughters are in there as well. Their own granddaughters, not mentioned in these letters. You would think that might be like the most important thing at this moment. Even Caleb was putting his children kind of first in the weird twisted way that his mind does in the trial. Even he was talking about his own children and their future and you know, the in-laws that are now raising them and God bless them, you know, all of that shit. Mom and dad couldn't even get there.

Recipes.

Recipes.

Mom and dad can't even get there. All right, is anyone surprised? I'm surprised Caleb went as far as he did, as far as talking about his own daughters in the sentencing. Considering that's mom and dad.

Also, notably absent from mom and dad's note, the word killed, shot or murder. Because from their perspective, it seems they don't believe it. Pratt sentenced Caleb three days after the letters were received by the judge. The letters were marked Defendants Exhibit A and B for that hearing, where his lawyers asked for a sentence with a parole date. A day a parole board at least has to hear this man out. The letters are the case for that day, so they deserve to be read like testimony. Mike and Kim know these words.
