Caleb Flynn Volunteered THIS to Detectives Searching for His Wife’s Killer

Caleb Flynn spent six days of his aggravated murder trial without showing emotion. He sat through Alleigha Botner’s testimony about 107,000 text messages, alleged meetups at a storage unit, and AI-generated love songs prosecutors say he created using her voice. None of it moved him.

Well, on Day 7 of Caleb Flynn's Aggravated Murder Trial, jurors were shown two separate police interrogation videos, and we're going to go and show you some of them too, and break down some of the finer points of the videos. We have the full videos remastered on our YouTube channel in case you want to see them in higher definition and in an easier way to understand and with really good captions.

So actually we're grabbing from that video in this video so we can make it easier to see and understand because it was a little difficult in court. We did our magic on the back end here to enhance such things so they're easier to break down. But it's not about the quality of the videos, it's about the content of the videos, of those two separate interviews with Detective Mike Morgan who questioned Flynn twice back in February of 2016 This is actually February 16th that we're going to watch his videos from two different times in the same day. There's a bit of a change of clothes. This is actually a second outfit of the day. When we watch our first video, he's wearing something else. Starting with an interview at 4.28 in the morning, two hours after Flynn called 911 to report that his wife Ashley had been shot. Up until this point in the trial, Flynn really hadn't shown a ton of emotion through evidence. He sat stone-faced through Alleigha Botner's testimony, which was interesting because he went from being very emotional over rather inconsequential things to then what one would think would be one of the most emotional testimonies of the trial. It was just stone-faced. The woman prosecutors say he was having an affair with. He listened quietly. His details came out about the 107,000 text messages, secret meetups at a storage unit, and even AI-generated love songs that he allegedly made.

And if you haven't seen our AI-generated love song of Caleb Flynn, we used the first verse, which we could see on the projector, and then we took the rest with our own liberties. Kind of making it more accurate to the case. That music video also on our YouTube channel, Hidden Killers With Tony Brueski. If you're not already there, check it out. Okay.

But when those interrogation videos played in the courtroom, ooh, that got Caleb a little bit upset. All the relationship falling apart, the 107,000 texts of love, and I'm never gonna be old without you bullshit. That didn't trigger a crying with the interrogation videos. That was gone to him. After seven days of testimony, the only thing that seemed to have gotten another emotional reaction out of Caleb Flynn is watching himself.

What the jury saw was a story falling apart answer by answer, mostly by Flynn's own doing. Several prosecution witnesses took the stand on day seven. And while the interrogation footage was the centerpiece, the surrounding testimony helped connect the dots from door damage to Apple Watch data to an FBI check into a murder for hire tip. Each witness added another piece to the state's case. That first interview started at 428 a.m. Ashley Flynn had been found shot twice in the back of the head while their two young daughters slept in the next room. Detective Morgan started off with a straightforward request asking to look at the text messages between Flynn and his wife on his phone. Here's how that went down.

Caleb Flynn (4:04)

Do you have any text messages from her? I delete text messages all the time.

Caleb Flynn (4:09)

She sends me a million pictures and it takes up my storage. Oh, okay.

Caleb Flynn (4:43)

So you've got any, any, she had the text of me today and she sent me a gallon times picture the last night when I said delete it.

Tony Brueski (4:55)

He didn't have a single text saved from his wife. Not one message on his phone from the woman lying dead in their bedroom. I guess everybody's different with their text message storage, right, maybe, I don't know. I have text messages from my ex-wife. Just in case I should ever need them. Of like, nope, I don't think that story's accurate here. Let's go to the instant replay.

It's rather odd whether you love her or you hate her, that there ain't nothing on your phone from this woman who apparently sends you all the stuff and takes up all the storage on your phone. Have you ever heard of cloud storage, Caleb?

Meanwhile, Botner had already testified to exchanging over 107,000 texts with him. His phone had plenty of storage for all those, but he claimed he had to delete his wife's text to save space. Detective Morgan then asked if anyone had an issue with them, or for any reason, you know, somebody may want to hurt Ashley, the kind of, do you have any, do you have any enemy sort of question? Take a look.
