So, we kind of alluded to this earlier in the show, but we had a little drama in the fourth quarter of that fever game last night. Not because the game was in question, fever were beating the brakes off of Phoenix after a pretty ugly first quarter.

**SPEAKER_2** (0:16)
Oh, that was awful, that first quarter where the fever only scored what? Three to... They scored their sixth point at the very end of the first quarter.

**SPEAKER_1** (0:27)
It was pretty ugly. It was pretty bad. But after that, they went on a run. Caitlin played well.
But at one point, push came to shove in that fourth quarter.
One of these awful women that used to play for the fever that had a problem with Caitlin and got mouthy and demanded a trade. DeWanna Bonner started getting a little physical with Caitlin. Yeah. And the referee called the technical foul on everybody, even though Caitlin was just clapping her hands. She was just clapping and she got a technical foul for that. She wasn't happy after the game.

**Caitlin Clark** (1:05)
You got the tech tonight, fifth of the season. Yeah, it's ridiculous.
I got a technical for clapping. So like if we should all just go on the calendar now and pick a game that I'm going to be suspended for, if I'm going to get technicals for clapping, I'm going to ask Gerda. Gerda said that I got a technical for clapping. So if any technical should be taken away, it should be that one. If it's truly for clapping, that's what they said they gave it to me for, it was for clapping. So it's just ridiculous.
I don't understand it at all. I mean, I'm going to play with emotion. I'm going to play with passion. And if they're going to give me a technical foul for clapping, then so be it. That's their choice. And Lily can come back and review that play. And I'd love to hear what they say of the reasoning of why I got the technical foul in that situation and why other players on their team didn't get a technical foul in that situation. If anything, split it. Okay, fine. Everybody gets a technical foul. That wasn't how they were handed out. So I'd love to know. But obviously that's what I went to girl and said, I said, why did you give me a technical foul? She said, because I was clapping and instigating. I said, okay, then you just don't like competitive basketball and that's just facts. That's just reality. So disappointing from them.

**SPEAKER_2** (2:05)
Yeah. Caitlin gets a bad rap sometimes about how much she, I don't know, is whine like the appropriate word, but I don't think it applies here.
Sometimes she could be a little aggressive with the whining on the court. And I get it, but I watched that whole thing. And she was the one that got fouled.

**SPEAKER_1** (2:24)
Right.
She had her arm locked up by the other woman. And they were pushing a little bit. And then after it was kind of done, Caitlin was clapping her hands to the fans and got a technical foul.

**SPEAKER_2** (2:37)
Instigating, clapping her hands. So what was she talking about there? So eventually you get enough texts.
You have to sit out for one game.

**SPEAKER_1** (2:46)
You get suspended, right? NBA is like that, too. Like Draymond Green is usually good for a game or two with so many technical fouls.
But a couple of minutes after that incident, there was another one where that same woman on Phoenix, Bonner, kind of was getting mouthy with Sophie Cunningham. And Sophie kept mimicking her, like just pointing right at her, doing the exact same thing that she's doing.

**SPEAKER_2** (3:12)
I loved it.

**SPEAKER_1** (3:13)
And afterwards, Sophie was asked about it.

**Sophie Cunningham** (3:16)
I think that in games, that's professional sports, sometimes things get chippy and that's OK. That's OK. It's OK for women to stand their ground a little bit and to have some extra curricular at times because you have to hold your ground.
It's going to happen. You got to take care of it. But we got the devil who cares?

**SPEAKER_2** (3:34)
I'm pretty sure they play each other again tomorrow night.

**SPEAKER_1** (3:37)
Yeah, it's kind of a back to back games kind of thing with them. Yeah.

**SPEAKER_2** (3:41)
And I'll watch it. Yeah, it was one of those nights where I came home and everybody was doing their own thing. And yeah, the first quarter was completely awful, completely dog crap.
But then after that, it got kind of interesting. The fourth quarter was 40 minutes long.
