You're listening to the 6 Figure Home Studio Podcast, the number one resource for running a profitable home recording studio. Now your hosts, Brian Hood and Chris Graham.

Brian Hood (0:19)

Welcome back to another episode of the 6 Figure Home Studio Podcast. I am your host, Brian Hood, and I'm here with my bald, beautiful, amazing, purple-shirted co-host, Christopher J. Graham.

Chris, how are you doing today, my friend?

Christopher J. Graham (0:32)

I'm doing great, buddy. How are you doing?

Brian Hood (0:34)

Doing good, man. Mainly because as of two days ago, FilePass has finally moved to a no-credit-card-required free trial.

Christopher J. Graham (0:44)

Oh, that's cool.

Brian Hood (0:45)

Yeah, so we can finally, like, people that would normally bail when you get to a free trial, and they're like, enter your credit card to start your free trial. Those people that bail can now go back to FilePass and sign up for an actual free trial. So this is my short pitch. I'm in a good mood, and this is why I'm in a good mood. But short pitch, go to filepass.com right now. Sign up for a free trial. By the way, even if you don't plan to use FilePass right now, and you just want to play around with it, use, like, a side email address or a fake email address or whatever. Just create an account, start playing around with it so you know what to expect once you're ready to start using FilePass. I do that all the time. Like, when I was trying out Pipe Drive, CRM, or using it to show examples, I would just sign up for fake accounts and play around with it and decide if I liked it or not for when I was ready to actually use it. So, that's my call to action, go to filepass.com.

I'm back to 100% by the way, with COVID. I talked about it on the last week's episode of the podcast, but I'm finally back to 100% and have been released by the health department. So, this is old news for people who listened to last week's episode, but since you weren't here last week, I'll share it with you, so now you know.

Christopher J. Graham (1:42)

Congratulations on getting over the plague.

Brian Hood (1:45)

The plague? Can I get like an I survived COVID and all I got was this stupid T-shirt?

Christopher J. Graham (1:49)

That's actually a pretty good idea.

Oh man, I don't know too many people that have it. You're one of the only people.

Brian Hood (1:55)

Several of my friends have gotten it at this point, and several people have thought they've gotten tested negative. More and more people around me are getting it. Nashville is starting to kind of increase. We're not as bad as like Atlanta and Miami, Houston, some of the hotspot cities.

Christopher J. Graham (2:09)

Yikes.

Brian Hood (2:09)

But we're closing in on 10,000 cases here. We're getting close, I think. I may be wrong. There were 7,000 or 8,000 cases here in Nashville.

Christopher J. Graham (2:16)

Intense.

Well, I have had an interesting week. My dude, Kyle Whitaker, that works with me, Chris Grandmastering.

Brian Hood (2:22)

I just call him K-Wit.

Christopher J. Graham (2:23)

K-Wit and I have released version 2.0.

Brian Hood (2:29)

What's that entail? Because you texted it to me, and I was like, cool, dude, whatever, I don't really care. So pitch me so that our listeners aren't responding like, cool, dude, I don't really freaking care.

Christopher J. Graham (2:37)

All right, so you want to bounce a bunch of files. Bounce Butler 2 is intelligent enough to retry a bounce if Pro Tools fails.

Brian Hood (2:45)

I thought it already did that.

Christopher J. Graham (2:47)

It did it, but now it does multiple times, and it's way, way more consistent. As you know, as a Pro Tools user, there are many different ways that Pro Tools can bite the dust.

Brian Hood (2:57)

Yeah, and that can vary by version as well.

Christopher J. Graham (3:00)

Yeah, absolutely. So it's way better that you can drag and drop files into Bounce Butler, and it's got like a list window now.

And let's say you're like, I'm gonna bounce a bunch of these files, and I'm really nervous that they're not finishing, and I need to go to dinner, and I'll just text Bounce Butler and say, hey, Bounce Butler progress report. And Bounce Butler will be like, I've just bounced session 17 of 42

Brian Hood (3:20)

So for those people that are control freaks and have to know every single thing, I'm the kind of guy, I'm like, I don't wanna know. Just text me when you're done, you idiot. And that's the way I talk to automated intelligence things.
