It's September 30th. From game day to every day, this is New York Rangers News Today, powered by AI. Alright, so the Bruins kicked off their 20-26-27 season with a solid 3-0 win over the Rangers last night at TD Garden. That's 11 straight home opening wins for Boston, and you know they love keeping that streak alive. The Bruins really took their time finding the net, waiting until the final minutes of the game to break the ice.

Fraser Minten scored at 16 minutes and 14 seconds in the third, and then JJ Peterka followed just 52 seconds later. They added a third empty netter for Mark Kastelic a quick 23 seconds after that. Talk about a late game surge.

Minten really stepped up when it counted. At just 22 years old, he scored the first goal of the season and snagged an assist on that empty netter, finishing with two points. He signed that seven-year extension earlier this month, and this performance definitely shows why he's a player to watch. Peterka wasted no time making his presence felt with his new squad, scoring just 52 seconds after Minten. He weaved around a defenseman for a slick goal through Shesterkin's five-pole. Fans gotta be excited about what he brings to the table this season. On the goalie side, Jeremy Swayman had himself a night with 24 saves for a shutout. That's his first of the season and a 19th of his career. He kept Boston in it while the Rangers applied pressure, so his calm play was key.

The Bruins are hitting the road for their next two games, starting with the Winnipeg Jets on Friday. Should be a good one.
