All right, so big news coming out of the NHL last night. The Boston Bruins kicked off their season with a solid 3-0 win against the New York Rangers. It was a tight match until the Bruins struck late in the game, scoring three goals in just over a minute. Talk about a late game explosion. Fraser Minten got things rolling for Boston with his goal late in the third period. It was a nice set up from defenseman Mason Lorae who snagged the puck at the red line and made it happen after a scramble. That first goal always feels crucial and it really set the tone for what came next. Then, just seconds later, JJ Peterka extended the lead to 2-0 with his first goal as a Bruin.

It was a chaotic moment after both teams tried to change lines, but Hampus Lindholm found Peterka who skillfully managed to get a shot through the legs of Rangers goalie Igor Schusterken.

Gotta love seeing a rookie shine like that. Mark Kastelic sealed the deal with an empty netter shortly after. Minten once again played a key role by drawing the defense and leaving Kastelic wide open for the score. You can't underestimate how big that momentum is as they move forward in the season. Now the Bruins are looking to carry this energy into their next game against the Winnipeg Jets on Friday night. Should be an exciting matchup to watch.
