I am a new fan too, but I was in Albany for Capital Pride and seeing a friend when they actually won the championship. It made me feel like I'm not a FOMO girly, I'm like a phoby fear of being invited because then I have to awkwardly tell you no, or Jomo, Joy of Missing Out. But as I was looking at Instagram that Sunday morning, I was like, fuck, I need to get back to New York quick. So I went to the parade and it's just, I don't know, things are just... I feel like we're prom queen and Mom Donnie is the prom king. And also all these people are here for the World Cup and loving ranch dressing in Costco. It's just a great time to be a New Yorker and an American.

Yeah, I saw somebody post that their favorite memes right now are people experiencing the country for the first time because they're here for the World Cup.

Right. They're like, free refills, amazing. Ice, amazing. Gas stations with 40 pumps, amazing. And I'm like, yeah, all of this ice, taken for granted for 43 years.

Okay. Well, let me tell the whole story.
So that was the weekend. That was day four of seven of my husband being away for work. So it's just me and the kids. And I had pre-planned to have the sitter that night because it was the midpoint of my time with the kids and I thought, I will need a break.
So early that morning, they had their bi-weekly program in the city, which lasts two and a half hours. I take them there and then I kill two and a half hours in the city. And I, of course, got on the apps and see this guy who's super cute. And so I message him and his response is, Hi, not the Dads And Daddies messaging me. I feel so honored, LOL. Big fan.

And so, but it turned out, the only reason he was showing up on my grid and was close by was he was passing through the city on his way to a baby shower in New Jersey, and he actually lives in Astoria, Queens. But I knew I had these plans later that night to like take myself out. And so I was like, well, what are you doing tonight?
