Hi, friends. Welcome to Dads And Daddies, a podcast about the lives and times of adult gay men in the here and now. I'm Brian Rubin-Sowers, The Dad.

**Judson Morrow** (0:56)
And I am Judson Morrow, The Daddy.

**Brian Rubin-Sowers** (1:00)
So serious today.

**Judson Morrow** (1:01)
I know, which is so- it's like the exact opposite of how I'm feeling. I don't know why I did that.

**Brian Rubin-Sowers** (1:10)
Well, we want to give it variety.

**Judson Morrow** (1:11)
The Daddy.

**Brian Rubin-Sowers** (1:14)
Hi, Judson.

**Judson Morrow** (1:15)
Hey, what's up?

**Brian Rubin-Sowers** (1:15)
How are you?

**Judson Morrow** (1:16)
I'm doing really well.

**Brian Rubin-Sowers** (1:18)
You look very summery.

**Judson Morrow** (1:19)
Oh my God. Thank you so much.

**Brian Rubin-Sowers** (1:20)
I love it. I love the chain.

**Judson Morrow** (1:23)
Someone asked me if this was gold, and I was like, honey, if it were gold, it would be $17,000. It's like a very thick braid. But I appreciate that you think I can afford real gold. That's cool.
Deep apreci.

**Brian Rubin-Sowers** (1:39)
How are you?

**Judson Morrow** (1:40)
I'm doing really well because I'm feeling really good about work.

**Brian Rubin-Sowers** (1:46)
Great.

**Judson Morrow** (1:48)
I don't know if we talk about work that much on the show, because this is like our escape from work.
Or maybe I just think a lot about work. But I'm trying to find a balance in like, hey, when work is going well, like don't get a big head about it. When work is going not that well, like don't be so sad. Like it's just work.

**Brian Rubin-Sowers** (2:09)
Right.

**Judson Morrow** (2:10)
But right now, like two things are happening. Like number one, at work, the people that I work with and work for, have just been like really gracious and kind and positive about my performance as I come up on a year.

**Brian Rubin-Sowers** (2:23)
Yeah.

**Judson Morrow** (2:23)
And at the same time, Wow, it's almost been a year.

**SPEAKER_3** (2:25)
It's 10 months. Wow.

**Judson Morrow** (2:26)
10 months. And at the same time, a lot of people who I have worked with previously have gotten in touch to say like, hey, can I get a referral? Hey, can I get a recommendation? Hey, can you introduce me to this person? Like, hey, can we have a talk about next steps? And it feels really nice as both like an adult and a sober person and an office daddy to like be of service to people, to help them. My greatest joy in the professional sphere is to make work easier for people and also help others get where they're going. Because so many people have helped me. Like we talk about this all the time, all the time. I'm particularly invested when it is another queer person.
But I'll help anyone who asks.

**Brian Rubin-Sowers** (3:16)
I love that. My favorite part of being at work is the mentorship.

**Judson Morrow** (3:21)
Of course.

**Brian Rubin-Sowers** (3:21)
Is the office daddy of it all.

**Judson Morrow** (3:23)
The office daddy of it all. Like I currently, most of the people I work with and for are, because I support another team, are like 15 to 20 years younger than me. Right.
And rather than be like, better mother, like that's not it. It's just like, hey, this is a thing that I have figured out, like a hack that makes all of this a little easier. Or like, I also get when young people at work worry, because you just don't have the context and experience of like getting through to the other side and knowing that it's fine.

**Brian Rubin-Sowers** (3:56)
That it gets better.

**Judson Morrow** (3:57)
Like I haven't fired three times. And it's still, it's like still fine.

**SPEAKER_3** (4:03)
Right.

**Judson Morrow** (4:03)
My husband gets really mad when I say that I got fired from this last job, because it was technically a reduction in force. Right. But I like fired for the drama.

**SPEAKER_3** (4:12)
Of course you do.

**Judson Morrow** (4:15)
How are you?

**Brian Rubin-Sowers** (4:16)
