The one I was already kind of like in with, friends with. And the other one, I was like, where did he come from? Right. So the newer guy, he was in the kitchen and I was just like, hey girl, because you know what I'm like. I mean, I didn't say.

That was the vibe. I did not say hey girl to this Kimberley stranger.
But it makes me feel like the things are happening. I am really happy there. I really, really enjoy the people who I work with and who I train. It's just really nice to have a little place setting, as the gaggle is sometimes called, at work.

In my New York office, we have a lot of Gen Z folks. I'm sure we have a lot of folks all along the gender.

In the New York office, no, I don't think I currently have any gay folks. But when I very first started at this company, actually, no, even before, so my company is 20 years old, but I worked with some of the folks a year prior to that at a different agency.
I work in the video game industry, and when I arrived for my interview, I just assumed that if I was going to get into video games, that I would not be working with gay people, because I came from entertainment. I came from first theater and then more Hollywood stuff, and so I was surrounded by gay folks. I thought, well, if I'm going to get into the video game industry, I guess I'm leaving that behind. Then I walked in and the first person who interviewed me, was this very handsome New Zealander who, and all around the office, were just photos of him and another man. I thought, oh, okay. So he and I and two women ended up then leaving that company and co-founding the agency where we're at now, and so he's still in my life and a very good friend. Anyway, all that to say that, yes, I actually do have gay people in my company.
Over the years, I've had gay folks who worked in my office with me. There was one point where I had, it was the first time somebody worked for me who was half my age, it would like freak me out. And he wouldn't come out and say that he was gay, but he clearly was. And then he was telling a story to some other colleagues about this place that was clearly Fire Island. And he was describing a walk on the beach where he was so drunk on a Friday night, and how relying on the kindness of strangers, he needed help getting back to where he was staying. And I was like, oh, you were leaving the underwear party at three in the morning and you were wasted out of your mind, and you were walking the beach from Cherry Grove back to the Pines.
