Every day, we see another sign post that the world will not wait for America to pass the Clarity Act or make a decisive move with their Strategic Bitcoin Reserve. And while the US has been busy trying to sanction Iran for using Bitcoin, Russia and Japan are making Bitcoin moves. And now today, we're seeing signs that China might be flipping the script. Before we reveal the news that just came out of China this morning, remember that no one or no company is allowed to make any move without the CCP's permission. So yes, Bitcoin is supposed to be banned in China, which is why today's news is so strange. Now I know we've been hearing some rumors and some speculation that China isn't as strict on the Bitcoin ban as we expected. Of course, we all know the China ban in 2021 Nico is attributed to being the reason that the bear market, the bull market ended. A lot of miners left. Of course, they mine Bitcoin or they banned Bitcoin mining in China. It basically neutered the 2021 bull market. At least there's some good connections to that. We have seen that a significant portion of that hash power has returned to China.
So, they're not as strong on the Bitcoin ban as you'd expect. And obviously, what has changed since that moment? Well, of course, Donald Trump came out and said that America is going to be the Bitcoin super power of the world. And ever since that moment, ever since November of 2024, or maybe better put, January of 2025, the nation state race has accelerated worldwide. We've seen a lot of countries almost fast track their own version of the Clarity Act. In particular, we covered Russia news. I think that was about two, three weeks ago, or actually it was two weeks ago. It just became essentially law in Russia that they just did their own Clarity Act. It's not good. Well, it's arguable whether the US version of the Clarity Act would be good, but anyways, the point is there is a nation state race going on right now. Now, what makes this story a lot more interesting to me is that it's not a directive from the Chinese government that they are doing a strategic Bitcoin reserve. It is a little different. It is, I think, a subtle way of doing a similar reserve. Now, you could also make the case that this is just a Bitcoin treasury move as well. But again, China is such a unique country in the terms or in the context that most everything that comes out of China has in some way the approval of the CCP. Now, I did cover last week. Was that last week? Yeah, last week that Taiwan is now doing some interesting moves against Bitcoin. So there's a lot to unpack here. But anyways, here's the headline. Coming from bitcointreasuries.net. And forgive me if I misspeak here on the name of this company. You guys know I can barely speak English. But Chinese Xibao Technology completes a $154.7 million Bitcoin pipe, adds 2,380 Bitcoin, literally right off the rip, adds 2,000 Bitcoin. It's an incredible move. So anyways, going further, Shanghai-based InsureTech from Xibao Technology closed its previously announced private investment in public equity or a pipe financing, receiving 2,380 Bitcoin in exchange for newly issued shares and warrants. The deal valued at $154.7 million, using a fixed reference price of $65,000 per Bitcoin. Dude, 65K Bitcoin. Wait, didn't the Bitcoin price basically hit 65 this morning? Guys, are we about to pump? Anyways, Mark's one of the most distinctive corporate Bitcoin treasury moves of 2020-2026 and immediately places the company among the larger public holders of the asset. According to the SEC filing dated on August 17, 2026, investors delivered the full 2,380 Bitcoin to a designated company wallet at closing. In return, they issued 442 million pipe units priced at $0.35 each. Now, I'm not going to read the whole thing, obviously, just giving you the context here.
They initially thought they might buy more Bitcoin, 3,500 Bitcoin, which would have significantly moved them up the Bitcoin Treasury Leaderboard. But hey, 2,300 Bitcoin, pretty good start, in my opinion. Anyways, I've never heard of this company, right? But Zhibao, a pioneer of the 2B2C digital embedded insurance model in China, an operator-propriety platform as a service insurance brokerage platform, stated that the Bitcoin will be held as a Treasury Reserve, proceed, support, general operations, business development, research and development, and the company's digital asset reserve strategy centered on Bitcoin. So just stopping here. Obviously, you can make the case that this is sort of like a strategy Michael Saylor play. We heard the same thing when strategy first announced their Bitcoin, that they were going to use the Bitcoin for operations, for research, development, but of course, a Bitcoin strategic reserve for their balance sheet. Just adding Bitcoin to a balance sheet actually does improve your finances. Shocking novel idea, right?
