Yes, indeed. I didn't mention on the show proper, which was, it was just a busy show today, didn't really have time. But I want to give a shout out to no one really specifically, because I didn't get the names of everyone. But I'm part of this legacy committee for the council around Brisbane 2032 Yes. And as part of that, we come up with all these concepts and blah, blah, blah. A very important part of it is, once every blue moon, whatever, we have a youth legacy speaking event. So basically school kids, probably grade 10 and 11, I'd say would be average of 15, 16 year old kids.
For all schools around Brisbane, there was about 100 at City Hall last night.

Was it a night time thing?

Yeah, it was like 4 to 6 or something like that. So I spoke to a bunch of ladies from Lewitt Hill. Oh, okay. And I was saying, oh, Susan, my friend went there. My old school.

Oh, yes, good.

My old school. I mean Mansfield High. The kids from Mansfield told me, they said biggest school in the world, it couldn't be that, 4,000 kids go to Mansfield State High School. They said that grade 10, because, you know, like, you know, grade 10, one, grade 10, yeah, whatever it is.
No, it was grade 10A, grade 10B goes all the way to Z.

And then they have grade 10, one and grade 10, two.

**Susie O'Neill** (1:30)
You would not be able to know every kid in your grade.

700 kids in grade 10

No. At Mansfield.

Mansfield State High School.

I've not even heard of Mansfield.

You said the teachers are great, they love going there.
It's excellence in sport, something else, something else. Back in the day, it was a good sports school. Julie McDonald went there. I know Rugby League, it came quite big as well. My friend was coaching there. That's so many kids. Back then, it was kind of new.

It was a new suburbs when I was growing up. It was near Wishart and Mansfield and stuff. 4,000 kids.

4,000 kids. That's ridiculous. How would you find friends? I was actually asking a question. They went, no, it's great, it's fine. You can find people? I said, do you get educated?
Yeah, we love our teachers.

It's a smart school.

Is it a selective school?

**Susie O'Neill** (2:11)
No, it wouldn't be with 4,000.

I think it's scholarships, maybe, because it's a sporting excellence, I know, in rugby league.

Jeez, it'd be hard to make a good team in that with that many kids.

**Luttsy** (2:21)
Imagine that. You can make the bloody Zeds. Seriously, who was your nutty was bad enough.
They play, in rugby league, they play, what is that we said?

**Susie O'Neill** (2:29)
Yeah, who would they play? If you're in the Zeds, you know what I mean? Like, would you just play the Xs? Yeah, exactly right.

**Luttsy** (2:36)
But anyway, so it was so good, because I was feeling flat yesterday. I don't know, whatever, it's been a big week, and I had to go to City Hall, and I got there, and these kids, the first thing, because I sort of moderated the workshop, when they get 20 minutes, they all get different projects, and they got a, for instance, there's a thing called loving the leftovers around 2032 These kids developed around, okay, say there's some park that's not being utilized next to a train station, blah, blah, blah. They come with their ideas on how to reinvent the park.

They're the perfect people for that.

And these kids are just amazing. They give you so much energy. Different ideas. And they were talking about live sites at 2032

Were they excited for 2032?

**Luttsy** (3:15)
Pumps, these kids. Honestly, I left, I was pretty flat going. I thought, oh my god, I'm a bit tired. This is going to be up and everything. By the time I left, I was like, my adrenaline was pumping again. I think I text a couple of people that I'm friends with, like Frankie Ryan and those guys and saying, oh, I just had the most amazing couple of hours, these young kids. And when I say young kids, come 2032, these kids are going to be in their early 20s. So I was like, I said to them, these are your games. We're just a bunch of old farts trying to stay relevant over here. The youth is the future of the city, right? Totally. So their opinions really count. These kids were amazing and smart.
