Yeah, it's going to be a packed house. I think we have two in-studio guests today, so I think that's going to be setting a record perhaps. Oh, yes. Excited to have CK back as well, a long-time employee here at Bitcoin Inc, one of the first bosses I had here at the magazine back in the day, so very excited to see him in person.

We love a reunion. Well, let's start with the headlines. The US Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network has formally withdrawn a 2020 proposal targeting certain transactions involving self-custodial crypto wallets. The plan would have required banks and money services businesses to keep records and verify customer identities for covered transfers above $3,000 with reporting requirements above 10,000, including transactions combined over 24 hours. The CFTC has opened public comment on a potential framework for certain retail crypto transactions under its existing legal authority. The agency is exploring safeguards against abusive practices in a dedicated exchange registration category for these markets. This is an early step toward possible rules with a 60-day comment period, starting when the notice appears in the Federal Register. Treasury yields pulled back as oil fell below $100, and Scott Bessent pledged that stronger growth and spending restraint would improve the US debt trajectory. The 10-year yield fell to 5.27% in the 30-year to 5.63%, retreating from levels last seen in 2002
European stocks rose 1% Tuesday, while Nasdaq futures edged up 2 tenths of a percentage point as investors grew more optimistic ahead of earnings season. Lower oil prices and easing bond yields helped call markets after last week's turmoil, although long-dated treasury yields remain near multi-decade highs. The US economic expansion has reached 78 months, making it the sixth-longest since 1854, according to the Kobase letter. That's well above the historical average of about 49 months, but still short of the record 128-month expansion between 2009 and 2020 Kobase points to monetary policy, large federal deficits, and the AI investment boom as possible factors extending the cycle.
The S&P 500 is back near record highs, and only tech and energy have gained ground since its last record close in mid-August. According to Bloomberg, heavyweights NVIDIA, Apple and Microsoft are helping lift the index, masking weakness across most sectors. And with that, let's check in on the markets live now. We go to Bitcoin, up almost four-tenths of a percentage point on the day, sitting at about 86 to 80 right now. Treasury yields, obviously that's the number everyone is watching. We're pulling back after the 10- and 30-year yields hit multi-decade highs right now. The 10-year down to basis points on the day at 5.29. The 30-year also down to basis points at 5.64. Oil also moving lower. The WTI, back around $88 a barrel with Brent falling below 100 or hovering just around it as some of the immediate supply fears continuing to ease in. Stocks responding. S&P futures are higher this morning with the index knocking on the door of a record high. The SPY up almost 0.7% of a percentage point at 7.74.83.
QQQ almost up a full percentage point today at 7.5620.
Gold also higher on the day up almost 0.4% of a percentage point, almost trading at $4,160 per ounce.

Well, you know, it's interesting to look at these equities, right? That's what really stuck out with me today is we're setting record highs. But you know, a theme we've been touching on the past few days is that these indices have become so top heavy.
And like you mentioned, Grace is, you know, Apple, Nvidia, a lot of these hyperscalers, tech plays, AI adjacent industries are really dragging this performance upward. And everyone else is kind of falling back below below their mean prices. So it's really interesting to monitor that. And I just wonder how long that can go before we see some sort of rotation of capital.
Grace Remington (4:54)
So we know where Bitcoin is today, but where will it sit in five years? Well, our next guest has the answer. Sam Baker, research analyst at River joins us now. Hi, Sam. How's it going?
