Man, we talked about so much today. We talked about hero moms and moms that are maybe going to jail for killing their kids. We talked to Secretary Brooke Rollins. She is Secretary of Agriculture. She made it clear what the president is doing. A huge announcement, piece by piece, being rolled out this week by the Department of Agriculture for ranchers and farmers. And it has nothing to do with changing the safety protocols. Your meat is safe. Don't buy into any of this stuff. Also, the hysterical, meaning laughter, and the hysterical, meaning crazy, all around Lake America. And I also talked to you about the oil that was announced in Venezuela. The biggest oil deal ever in the history of the world. All that is part of the Best of podcast. Listen to the whole podcast at glennbeck.com/torch. Here's the best of.

OK, so Thursday, the president signed an executive order changing the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America. I love this. I mean, it's like saying, if you don't want things named after America, you got the wrong guy. It's kind of like if you don't want everything in the Oval Office covered in gold, you got the wrong guy. Now, just like the gold, the next president can come in and say, I don't like all the gold. The people didn't pay for that, the president did. If you don't like all the gold, don't worry. The next president can come in and take off all the gold. If you don't like the name, Lake America, don't worry. The next president can come in and go, yeah, we're not going to be Lake America. It's going to be Lake Ontario. Okay? Asked what the message was, he said there was no message. And then he explained at some length that it was all about Canada. Well, Mark Carney fired back within hours. The name is 400 years old. It predates the Confederation and the Declaration of Independence. Doug Ford added, it will be Lake Ontario to the Canadians and the rest of the world now and forever. Well, you don't know that. You don't know that. I sat there and I watched two governments go to war over a word, and I thought, am I the only one that kind of finds this funny? I mean, funny like a man in a good suit walking in to a glass door. You feel bad, but you laugh anyway. You know what I mean?
The argument Canada is making is the exact argument we've spent 15 years telling people was invalid. Dan Snyder wrote a letter to his season ticket holders in 2013
The name was never a label, he said. It was a badge of honor, strength, courage, pride, respect. Roger Goodell wrote almost the same letter to Congress, and the country said, no, no, you don't decide what honors somebody else. You don't.
Okay, all right. So the argument won. The team is now the Washington Commanders. Stupid. Now the same argument is back. This time wearing a maple leaf, and everybody has switched sides without appearing to notice. So let's just review the last 15 years. Indiana became the, the Indians became the Guardians. The Eskimos became the Elks. The Stamford Indians became the Cardinal. Not Cardinals, the Cardinal, singular, which I still don't understand. Squaw Valley became the Palisades Tahoe. Dixie State became Utah Tech. Yale renamed a college. Princeton took Woodrow Wilson's name off a school, which in fairness, Woodrow Wilson deserved and earned. Aunt Jemima became the Pearl Milling Company, which sounds like a defunct textile operation, quite honestly. Uncle Benz became Benz Original, which is the same guy with the last name removed, like he's in witness protection or something. The Eskimo Pie became Edie's Pie. Land O'Lakes removed the woman from the label, kept the land she was still sitting on, which I believe is a single most on-the-nose thing that has happened in the entire decade. Oh, this is occupied territory. Yeah, that's right, but we're gonna remove the Indians, and then we'll all feel better about it. The Dixie Chicks became just the Chicks.
Lady Annabellum became Lady A. The Boy Scouts became Scouting America. Splash Mountain became Tiana's Bayou Adventure. In software, they renamed the Master Branch to Maine. So somewhere, a computer feels better about itself.
And then the words, mother, how dare you, became a birthing person. Breastfeeding became chestfeeding. A convict became a justice-involved individual.
An ex-con became a returning citizen. A fat man became plus-sized. A homeless man became unhoused, which did not house anyone, I just want to point out. The master bedroom became the primary bedroom. And a manhole, a hole in the ground that a man climbs into, became a maintenance hole.
